PC Boot Time Slowed Way Down After I Removed a Virus

So I got a blue screen and then I re booted and removed the virus and did the windows disk repair check and such and now when I boot my computer it stays stuck on "starting windows" for about 1-2 minutes and then when I log in it stays on the welcome screen for another minute and then when it gets past that I am left with a black screen for about 45 seconds before it gets to the desktop.

I have windows 7. Help please and thank you.

Huh. Maybe some invalid registry entries are clogging up your system; try using easycleaner to fix it up.

Of course, you might also have only gotten rid of one of many viruses. What did you use to scan?

Oh someone can lock this, it ended up being that my virus protection program corrupted and I had to re install it, all is fine now.
