Why can't they just explicitly state what the other changes are? ughhhhhh
Well, it leaves room for us to earn a merit through proving our dedication and hack savvy to the community!
Who am I kidding? It's dumb they don't have a set of explicit notes for the more 'technical' people.

Question: How do you install the patch? I downloaded it from the eshop twice, but the game still says that the game is version 1.1. Help?

Do you need to delete your saved videos to install it?

I highly doubt that. Not that I have the game or anything, but you probably either need both patches out or just the one.

NinjaLink, a person who has the game, made a video today showing off Greninja's moves and at a point in the video he says to his friend: "Hey did you know they patched ZSS's infinite?". "Really?" "Yeah, she can't do it anymore".

Take that as you will, I don't know if it's true or not, NinjaLink could have very well just be misinformed (and has not tried it for himself).

Patch notes!! Need em, want em, need em, have to have them!!

Patch notes are common place now even if there are bugfixes only. Get on that Nintendo. Consumers are used to patch notes after years of other games doing them.

Hoping that's true. Shows a good sign of Nintendo caring about unfair exploits.

Thats what figured guys. Remember when we couldn't patch games. Ahh Mario Kart DS....
You mean Nintendo couldn't? Yea, I remember :p. I've been playing online games since 1998, so I have been experiences patches since that time. I don't know what took Nintendo so long.

It's certainly annoying.
It's just a opinion I have. It's not mandatory and I try not to be up in your face about it so it shouldn't be a eyesore to you unless you make it.

Non-existent apparently. Of course, the directional pad is also used to choose your victory pose after a group mode match, so that may explain the story as well.
Is that actually a thing? I noticed in the demo that B / X / Y no longer chooses the victory pose like in Brawl / Melee, but I also don't remember noticing D-pad inputs have any actual effect on which victory pose your character does. Is the timing stricter in this game due to loading, or is it just not in the demo, or not in single-player Smash matches, or what?

You simply have to hold the directional pad left, up, or right, once you see "Game" or "Time" be displayed on-screen. This does work in the demo, as I've seen it myself.

Left, up, and right, huh? Not up, side, and down? Okay, cool. Thanks!
Yup. If you press left in one match, and then right in another, the victory pose will end up being completely different. Pressing down on the directional pad will not determine what victory pose will be shown.

For an example, in Brawl, Wario will use his laughing victory pose if you hold "right" on the directional pad, while he'll fart and scratch his head if you hold "left" on the directional pad.

In Brawl I always used the Gamecube controller, so the inputs to determine victory pose were B, X, and Y.

I used the Classic Controller for Brawl (that control scheme uses the directional pad to choose your victory pose), so apparently the actions for choosing your victory pose are different between control schemes.

Using a Gamecube controller had the game retain the victory pose controls from Melee, which is why they're different, I guess.

Alas, I was just on his stream and tried verifying that, and he said he did not think it was changed.

I can confirm from doing it about 20 times that B/X/Y DO choose victory poses in the demo. I always start pressing the button right when GAME appears.

NinjaLink? Well, guess it's not changed then. I know he did say it on a video. I know which video it was too if you want to check it :p.

Anyways, can anyone just test it and see?

You made the first reply in a mostly unrelated thread a whine about vectoring, that's obnoxious. If you want to complain in the thread(s) regarding the mechanic whatever but if you try to make every topic about it people are going to get annoyed, yes.

Oh, I see. Sorry for this.
