Not at all. He'd be the same as Doctor Mario - an utterly redundant and unnecessary alternate version of Mario. Mario can represent himself just fine without using multiple character slots. Game & Watch has his own good reasons to be in and is a unique character - the only comparison you can make between him and Paper Mario is that both use 2D graphics, and thats purely cosmetic.

Zevox, I have to disagree with you. Not with the fact that we'd again have two Marios, but really that they'd be alike. Paper Mario is different then the regular Mario. He could have his own unique moveset.

I'm not to keen on Paper Mario appearing, but I don't think I would mind if he did.

I dunno, the thing is, Paper Mario WOULD have a different moveset, but I honestly don't think his paper style would fit very well in the cast in Brawl (and no, Mr. Game and Watch isn't a counter-argument towards this, he's a 2D sprite-thing, not a paper version of another character). I'd much appreciate him more as an AT if anything, just not playable. I would, however, love a Paper Mario-based stage.
I didn't say they'd have the same moves, did I? I'm sure utterly different moves could be made for any number of different Marios - Paper Mario, Doctor Mario, FLUDD Mario, etc etc. Its the simple fact that they're all Mario, and therefor utterly redundant after the first one, which makes them poor choices for the game from where I'm sitting. Mario works fine as a single character representing his series as a whole, just like all the other characters in the game. Theres no more reason to have a 2D version of him than there is to have him in a Doctor's outfit when we already have the original.

I must not understand you correctly, but if you're saying what I think you're saying, FLUDD Mario isn't a separate character in Brawl...they just gave Mario FLUDD to use as his down-B...AND STOP HATIN' ON DOC!! I know he doesn't have a chance of comin' back, but I'm a Doc-main...and I don't appreciate the hatin'...

Even if Paper Mario isn't going to be playable, we're still getting some representation. Rawk Hawk was seen as a sticker during that update.

I consider Paper Mario to be a different dimension or universe like all Mario RPGs. Think about it, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Paper Mario 2, M&L:SS, M&L
iT, and Super Paper Mario are not referenced in any of the Main platform games. So i consider Paper Mario not the original Mario. That is why i think Paper Mario can still be in as such. Though it is very doubtable.

Honestly, I don't care if PM's in Brawl or not...I've got Pit though I hope Lucario's in...but I'm using Pit either way...
though I hope Lucario's in...but I'm using Pit either way...The "so what" is that its an utter waste to have a single character in the game twice when the time and space that second version of him uses could go to any one of the many other wonderful and far more unique character options out there. Why have Mario and Paper Mario when we could have Mario and Geno instead? Why have Mario and Doctor Mario over Mario and Wolf O'donnel? Why have Link and Young/WW Link when we could have Link and Midna or Vaati? And so on and so forth.

He would probaly be one of my back-ups, like Diddy. And Paper Mario could glide!

Oh, that'd be easy - just give her a typical ghost spectral tail and have her hover an inch or so off the ground normally. I doubt we'd see her over more popular characters like Geno or recurring ones like Bowser Jr though.

I dont know how you could not understand it. Plus Mario was his first creation big deal. Sakuri is trying to push more series like kid Icarus. Mario has more reps than anyone else already.

Does the phrase "run-on sentences" ring a bell? You slept through your English classes, didn't you?
Anyway, yeah, being one the first major franchises (and the longest lasting) does have a little impact...seniority=more representation...and Mario's got seniority...and the franchise has so many deserving characters, it's not fair to limit their representation...and besides, how do you know other franchises (Pokemon, Metroid, Star Fox, etc etc etc) won't get more representation...
One more thing...Pit is the only reasonable character from his series anyway...you may argue for Medusa, but I wouldn't bet on any more Kid Icarus characters...

PM is referring either to Paper Mario or Perfect Massage. This sentence is prefaced with the assumed clause "If he were in Super Smash Brothers Brawl..."
The word "def-finnate" is an adjective for something has had its fins removed. Adverbially, I guess it refers to how Paper Mario would have a new move set: by removing the fins (bells and whistles) of Mario's.
Referring to an earlier post he made by making the content of that post the topic of his sentence.
After a long spiritual quest, the poster has come to the revelation that Paper Mario games could be counted as a franchise like those of Yoshi and Wario.

It would be cool if the special brawl atacks was his party's member's and his normal smash like b-standard is his hammer.etc.

His A moves would be focused on his hammers and he could use his different hammers from Thousand-Year Door to indicate attack strength. His B moves could be focused around his Pixl's, partner's, and folding abilities. His final Smash could be something like Art Attack or one of his other Star Moves from Thousand-Year Door.
