Hi Project M,

Is there going to be a modded version for the PAL SSBB? I noticed it's only for the NTSC versions, any news about the UK/Europe/Australia regions?

Quoted from the download page
  • "The downloads below are for NTSC Brawl Discs and Wii's only. Japanese users, click here. PAL users: there is currently no release for PAL"

Would appreciate an update about that, thank you!

As of now, the PAL version is going to be saved for the final release (As of what we know so far)
This isn't due to laziness, it's just the fact that not everything can translate from a NTSC-U or NTSC-J set as well as, oh say, a music track, or a texture pack.

HOWEVER!!!
If you are willing to modify you Wii through homebrew, and load a NTSC-U or NTSC-J Brawl ISO from a USB or some means, you can play Project M, sans the fact that it technically wouldn't be PAL. :/

PS: I myself am uncertain whether or not tutorials are posted regarding such modification as of present, but should they not, remember this.......

Is that a safe practical approach, modifying the Wii through homebrew in order to load a NTSC-U or Japanese Brawl ISO from some form of memory?

Has anyone tried that approach by the way?

If it's not practical, might as well be VERY patient and wait for the final release! :kirby:

Thank you!

Yes, it's extremely practical. In fact it's a common method, and has it's own Project M build dedicated to it's use.
A reason many here in the United States partake in such a method is not only out of convenience, but the fact that Brawl had it's data burned into a Double Layer DVD, something that was somewhat unnecessary, and went on to make the game unreadable by many a Wiis. (Including Mine. :s)

As of present, there is no PAL release. However, you can load up NTSC Brawl via Gecko if you softmod your Wii. It's relatively simple to do so.

Now that all the characters are in the game, have you guys started working on it, or is it still waiting a final-er version ?

I load it from my external hard-drive, I simply plug it into the back of the Wii and run Configurable USB Loader from Homebrew. It's incredibly easy, and the game also loads and looks much smoother and faster from an external hard-drive anyways.

Ditto. But I hope there'll be a PAL-release soon, this all looks so good!
