PAL Netplay code

As per title, currently all the european players are forced to play the NTSC version to play Melee online.
That's probably not the best thing to do though, especially for those who want to train against characters like Sheik and the likes.
Is there any chance that a PAL Netplaycode could be ported, so that we can play with the PAL Iso?

Thanks :)

If you really wanted you could just use an NTSC ISO with all PAL characters and use Global Melee Netplay Settings.

That would be quite a pain, as I would have to tell everyone to do that, and how to do that (I myself have no clue how to replace the chars with the PAL codes and if they'd just work).
For example, even in the 20XX, only a few characters can be turned to their PAL version.
The goal here is to have more PAL players playing the PAL version when they netplay, ex. on the ladder, etc.

It's really easy. All you have to do is get this program, select the patch I uploaded and your NTSC 1.02 ISO, and choose an output file name and hit patch and it will make you an NTSC ISO that has PAL characters.

Thank you sir. However, some of my friends use Macs for example. Any alternatives?
Also, I assume that with this we can already play with the existing netcode then, right?

That said, I still hope that the netplay code port is done by someone. As nice as this solution is, it likely would be quite hard to widespread it or make it a ladder standard for PAL :(

I agree that the PAL community shouldn't be forced to patch an NTSC ISO just because there's no PAL port of the netplay code, which should be relatively simple to do. If nobody is interested in doing it then I'll probably end up doing it myself at some point.
