PAC files

Hey guys I need some help with PAC files. I obtained some textures for Wario and I need some PAC files to get it to run properly apparently. Problem is, the textures I downloaded didn't come with any PAC files. Just PCS files. What gives? Am I supposed to create the PAC files or can I simply rename PCS as a PAC file? Help would be much appreciated.

You need both the PCS and PAC for Wario since he transforms into Warioman (same for Bowser, Zelda, Samus, and someone else?). If you don't play with items, you might be able to just use the PCS, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: Let me make that a little clearer. Because Wario has the potential to transform into another character, he needs the matching PAC or it won't function properly. However, if you play without items and thus without Smash Balls, meaning you will never transform anyway, you might not need the PAC. Test it yourself, and if it doesn't work, you need to find the matching PAC. Contact the creator of the texture if you can.

Yes I realize that he needs the PAC file but as said the zip file didn't contain a PAC file. I need help on how to obtain or create those files because I can't find anything about it.

Edit: Ok thanks. Although I'm a bit confused about why they didn't include the file themselves if they knew the user was going to need it. Also I downloaded a program which converts PCS to PACs. Do you think that would work?

You can't simply rename it, but I do think it's possible to convert a PCS to a PAC, though I've only ever used it to open the PAC and make textures, not get a costume running. Google lz77ex and try that.

That's the program I used but I didn't get a PAC file when it finished running. I got some thing like this: "Fitwario08.pcs.out" Know anything ?

Once you get a .pcs.out you rename the extension to .pac, yes. Then it should work fine.
