Mario was my second in Melee, but I heared alot of his moves got nerfed, and FLUDD. Do u think I should change him for T Link?

Mario's attacks has more range and he actually has killing moves now. He's still good. Trust me. He's just so underrated for now.

From what I have heard, he has improved alot and will still be a viable character even with WDing out of the picture.

Mario has always been a balanced character, easy to use and deadly when used right. Change if you believe it to be best for your sake but as for me Mario has served me well in the past and will do as such in the future(aside from the fact I hate the FLUDD addition).

Shush, let's wait for Eggz to get some videos up. Or wait for me, since once I get the US release, I'll be filming friendlies of me using Mario.

I was going to main mario in brawl, so Ive been playing with him a lot. here's what I can tell you: toon link will be great due to his combo ability and his power all around make him something of a high to top tier level. Mario will stay mid tier but I think overall he had an improvement made over his melee counterpart.

Bair: while we lost wavedashing, the usefulness of the running back-forward-whatever the hell name they decide for it makes this his main aerial.

Dair: this was changed to the tornado press. Probably the best change he has. It has ok priority and if you land midway through the move, it auto l-cancels into whatever you want, though i've found dsmash and fsmash most useful.

Usmash: His usmash has gotten a bit of a boost over Melee which is nice since you can dash cancel into it without having to JC it making it a lot easier.

He still has some great edgegame and with auto sweetspotting, it makes it all the better.

His cape was nerfed, but that's no matter as his DI is strong.

there's so much more to mario's game... but I really enjoy him.

Overall: I think Mario has been made better, not by much, but still enough to help him through brawl. I say stay mario.

mario has been buffed a lot more than u say....his airs have a very good knockback at high percents...i dont see any nerf to his cape...its also slightly longer....i ve been playing the game for more than 2 weeks and i assure mario is greatly improved....

Mario is my secondary in Melee buit when I tried him In Brawl he was HORRIBLE. Everything about him was terrible. Luigi is so much better than Mario now. I think that any Mario mainers will become Luigi Mainers in brawl because Luigi is the New Mario.

Knifing you.
... still having trouble deciding, some say hes better, some say hes worse, my head hurts.
I think you may decide it. If you really like the character, you can just train.
No one is Pro yet, and no one actually tested FLUDD for sure.

And don't forget, Sakurai tried to balance all characters.

With many characters I know it's hard.. I didn't decided yet..
Good Luck.

eh? all I've been saying is how much he's improved where are you getting that? and The cape has been nerfed. I probably should've said "Cape recovery" but nonetheless it has been nerfed. you try using his cape as a horizontal recovery and see how far it gets you. haha.

Do not give up on mario, I have been using mario for ssb and ssbm and plan to use him in brawl. some ppl dont like mario but a skilled player with mario can defeat anyone.

If Brawl Mario is better than Doctor and Melee Mario combined... then I'm DEFINITELY maining him!

I was equally good with both Mario's in Melee, but now that their skills are kinda "fused" I think I'll do pretty well with im. :D

Now thatI recall, I heard his cape now blows the opponent away a very short distance.. Pretty beastly for an edgeguard, sounds to me. :D
