I've never struggled with it, but I guess some people just lack the quick thumbs. Either way, there is no reason to be against it just because you can short hop fine. You have to remember that not everybody can easily do what you consider easy.
You literally don't even have to be "quick". You just have to quit feeling sorry for yourself and let go of the button. It's that easy.

Special brawl(P:M) per player slot, but if all modes would be avaible that would be pretty glitchy in my opinion, so only like clear metal mega mini turbo kfdjfgwfiabcjj i dont know i just want to fight a mega metal giga bowser while being mini mario and mini luigi!!

  • Re-implementing Melee/64's Handicap style around knockback ratios instead of a flat damage percentage. Percent can be compensated for when playing against weaker players, but actual weakness of attacks is far harder to adapt to.
  • Footstool button distinct from taunt button to prevent accidental press.

I'd like to make a small proposal too, maybe dumb... :
While I like to play with 4 players at the same time, and the players I play with too, we still think that 1v1 is more interesting, that's why with my friends we play sometimes 2 1v1 in the same match, and with the remaining lives we make another 1v1, shorter. It's a bit fun to try not to interfere with the other 1v1, but it would be nice to have a real option to do that, 2 1v1 at the same time on 1 screen with 1 device. (Something annoying about this is how the camera is too far if we try to make these 1v1 in larger maps, so ideally, the screen would be divided into two cameras, each focusing on two players. Or two stages at once, maybe.) I don't know if it is technically possible of course, and if I am the only one here to think it might be a good feature. :p

First off, modding the way the game handles resources to load 2 stages, video coding to render separate areas, etc. Assuming you didn't just mod two stages together, this is pretty impossible.

at 640x480 res from the wii, splitting the screen in half would make smash nearly unplayable, Try cutting off a quarter of your TV screen on either side of the screen by draping two towels over the front and see if you can play a comfortable game of smash. You don't want split screen, trust me.

What COULD be possible is a simple stage mod that separates two sets of players from each other until there are only two players remaining, triggering a stage transformation that connects the two parts of the stage together, but you would probably have to deal with walls (or ceilings) in that case.

Actually the device I am using to play PM is my laptop with dolphin, therefore my resolution is 1920x1080 on my TV (or 1600x900 with my pc screen). So the resolution would not have been a problem for me I think, but I guess the PMBR wouldn't make features whose the usability would depend on your device or your screen. Well it is up to them.

I mostly just want more tools in training mode. That whole flash when hit stun is over sounds like a great idea. Endless shields,

I thought of an idea of having the option to view the hitboxes, hitstun... etc. just like the debugged melee
