On June 6th 2008, fresh off a successful traditional Brawl tournament, OUGA (The Original Upholders of the Gaming Arts) held a Brawl tournament unlike any other. Everything that is banned in traditional tournaments is fair game here. The only stages allowed were those banned in the regular tournament. We dubbed it... Battle of the Bans.

Here's a quick run-down of the rules:
- Best 3 of 5, double elimination
- 2 stock
- No time limit
- All items on very high
- Stage and character selections all random
- All tournament legal stages turned off, only banned stages are allowed (including custom stages)

The videos from this tournament feature direct-feed match footage with a small box in the corner showing footage of the contestants playing their match in real time. Commentary provided by TheKiest and McFly. The match videos are wildly entertaining and some of the matches have to be seen to be believed. I hope you enjoy our attempt to host the most insane Brawl tournament ever.

The videos can be seen here (posted in chronological order):

Edit: The videos are all uploaded. Enjoy the entire tournament at your leisure and enjoyment. And leisure again.

The only person you are doing an injustice to by not watching these videos is yourself.

I watched some of these videos and really enjoyed it. I'd really like to participate a tournament like this.. unfortunately, it isnt possible to control a random stage/random character pick online.
