August 29,2008:
VIDEO: Marth vs Fox - 1
VIDEO: Marth vs Fox - 2
VIDEO: Marth vs Fox - 3
VIDEO: Marth vs GnW

I recorded these videos because I wanted to test out my capture card quality and compression. Since I recorded them and uploaded them, I thought I might aswell get some critiques from other people to help improve my gameplay. I can already see that I fsmash to much, and I need to use UPB out of shield a little more. An outside perspective would be nice on how to improve my marthy would be nice. Any tips would be appreciated!

BTW, They are wifi matches so obviously they aren't my "BEST" work. :p

I'll have more videos of offline matches later. Hopefully by the end of the week.

EDIT: just watched the videos again and the 2nd and 4th video completely suck lol... oh well

Thanks in advance,
OryaN

1st Fox video, 8 seconds in..

If you knew how to edgehug, Fox would've been down 1 stock. You let him get away with that horrible mistake :\

Also, get non-wifi vids, pl0x.

Edit: Geez, stop being so aggressive on the spikes. There are better options sometimes than a Dair off the stage. Your opponent recognized your overaggressiveness and abused it :\

I watched the g&w one.

You're a bit fsmash happy.

Your approach is very simple. Short hop fair. You barely mix it up.
Pretty much you barely used anything other than fair and fsmash. There's a lot more to Marth than those two moves. Also I wouldn't call your spacing horrible, however it could do with some work.

And well, Wifi is really bad. Especially showing how you could barely complete a dancing blade... Try vsing some people in person. It feels a lot smoother and is a lot easier to critique...

Edit: watched a fox one.
You don't seem to be aware of dancing blade as a starter to help recovery.
