ORIGINAL DS needs some love!!!

The other day, I was at Wal-Mart, and I noticed this DS skin with a totally HOTT pic of Peach on it, and I thought i'd buy it.

But I was WRONG!! It only came in the DS Lite size!

Then I looked at the styluses, and, lo and behold, only LITE styluses! Whatever happened to the ORIGINAL DS? What about IT'S Peach skins???

Nintendo, the normal DS needs more lovin'!

I know! All I hve is a Orig. DS, and the Styluses, the skins, everything is for DS Lite! It's making me mad! I was going to buy this awesome skin the other day, and it's for Lite. I'm not spending $130 for a DS lite, when i already have a DS. But I want those skins!

When I was selling my DS I had a difficult time finding any Stylus Packs. EB had one pack left, an off brand, and nothing else.

I guess they really want you to get a Lite.

That's about the only good thing about DS compared to Lite. I'm still keepin my DS, though. I got a great deal on it.

Yup, and the original DS came with games (i.e. Mario Kart DS) unlike the DS lite. I live inside Canada so our deals are probably different than other parts of the world so the DS Lite could be bundled with a game.

And the original DS takes GBA games better unlike the DS Lite.

You can't find anything for the old DS because it was discontinued. Nintendo said they would replace it with the DS lite like last year.

Ive still got my old DS and its perfectly intact i would try my hardest to get a normal DS after this one breaks because ive played my friends lite and one of the problems with it its considerably smaller than a normal DS and the bottom half of my thumb is on the A button. Some people tell me its just the way i hold both the DS normal and DS lite but im not shaw has anyone else Noticed it?

the ds lite is much sleeker, works a whole lot better, and is just ballin on a whole 'nother level.

I also find that many people prefer the original DS over the DS Lite for Mario Kart DS snaking because they prefeer the hard, more accurate d-pad over the soft, cushy d-pad on the DS Lite.

I just don't like the D-Pad on the Lite's or I'd get one. The Lite's D-pad is just like the original GBA's and mine after a lot of use you have to really put a lot of preasure on it to work so your hand starts hurting after about 15 minutes of playing (which sucked *** for Final Fantasy : CC)

Yeah, that's why Nintendo made the GBA SP. They improved on alot of things the original GBA didn't have (backlight, hard d-pad, smaller, "clam" closing etc.)
We all knew that Nintendo was going to improve on the original DS. Let's hope they don't improve the Wii and release a new version of it.

I don't like the clicky buttons, that made my hand hurt when snaking in MKDS. It didn't happen with the lite.

But the crack I got on the hinge sucks. Now a piece of the hinge fell off and it doesn't stay open. It's loose and I have to hold it open with a finger if i'm holding it up.
Don't have my original DS since the R button stopped working and I got the lite on a warranty.

The brightness settings on the lite are really nice though, as is the stylus. More comfy. The only thing less comfy about the lite for me is the ****ty start/select buttons.

Oh and Weakness #2 and #3 are exactly the same but with different music. PROPAGANDA!

Well even through you can snake in both DS's, you can do it much longer with the original DS because the soft, cushy cuttons 'make your fingers too comfortable and weak thus making your fingers more relaxed and slower'. this is just my opinion on the ds lite's snaking abilities. ive never gotten the cracked hinges. im sorry to hear how your hinge is damaged. and yeah its good to have warranty on any console you get.

I'm also glad how Microsoft is upgrading the 360's "3 red lights" warranty to 3 years. :D

Oh and by the way Banks, shut up. I can afford a DS Lite but as I already said, I won't buy one till my old, original DS breaks. Read first before posting your stupid replies. It always amazes me that the staff hasn't banned you yet because of several accounts or at least, warned you. >.>
