Hey guys, so I know that Marth can chaingrab Fox and Falco up until 16% before they can shine out unless I pivot grab. I know that I will never get to a point where I can pivot grab consistently, so I was wondering what I could do after I chain grab them to 16%?

Well if you've ever seen someone perform the CG, you'll see that quite often they get much higher than 16%.
A lot of the time, grabbing while not moving works fine, you can also dash away then dash towards where you were standing to turnaround quickly and grab them again. It works well enough if you're fast enough.

I've never actually seen a space animal shine out of the CG because usually it stops at like 30%ish then they get up tilted or uair'd (Or whatever percent that they are high enough for a tipper) I'd imagine the window is quite strict to shine out of it. Falcon can SDI of pikachu's chain grab on him but I've literally never seen anyone do that so I think it's just "one of those things"

What you'll see M2K do is u-tilt at around 16-18% if he sees them doing no DI, because they're much more focused on shining out than preparing for a mixup that they need to tech. Then he'll either jab reset or get a very simple tech-chase back into the easy part of the CG again.

You should just practice pivot grabbing, but it you absolutely don't want to then you can pivot into shield grab as a crutch that is probably more consistent but a frame slower.

Also the percentages that you can't re-grab no DI without moving is a little bit higher. 21ish% for Fox and 23ish% for Falco.

If you suck at pivot grabbing in the CG at the percent range where it's required vs good shine & DJ timings, then just hit them with something (u-tilt probably) or throw them onto the ground, hit a single tech chase on a FFer, and then continue your autocombo. Seriously. This isn't complicated.
