Opinions on WI-FI--Friend Codes +Rankings

After checking last nights, or today's, update, I was somewhat dissappointed. I expected a different form of internet (one with rankings, voice chat, etc. etc. )

Assuming that none of this is going to change, I thought about something and I would appreciate opinions. Being that this site is the biggest connection between the smash community, I was thinking about a list of all players that would be interested in ranks. This list would consist of a Game-Name (alias) and a friend code.

I would guess that most of smashboards would be interested, or at least those that are active would be, and this way, personal "Friend Lists" on Brawl would not just consist of friends, but the comptetive smash community. This way, it acts as an internal ranking system with a website as a foundation.

This idea may be totally whack for many reasons: friend code/friend list capacity on brawl, no active participation, too much time wasted entering in information. Let me know what you think,

1. The Dojo allready states that there will be more wifi contetnt revealed in the future, there is no reason why such a ranking couldnt be added soon respectively is possibly in in yet.

They will likely keep track of your wins and losses. But, like in melee, I think they will keep track of a lot of your statisitcs as you oplay online.

Who cares about rankings.. there IS gonna be wifi battles and thats all what matters

I was a tad disappointed with the no ranking system.
But, At least they'll have records outside of wifi mode..plus Masahiro said their will be more announcements on wifi to come. So, I'm satisfied.

Just being able to play with others online is a huge improvement, some of us will finally be able to connect with the smash community and fight something besides a cpu

Anyway, it would be harder to d/c with a Wii if you have the GCN controller. I think removing the score was a good idea but the only problem that I see with this is we can be inequally matched with someone too superior.

Theres no way we know if there is gonna be ranks or not.
