I havn't seen this before, but we already know Online is in Brawl. Thats the ONLY reason why Brawl- Er... Melee 2.0 was made. Mario Galaxy has Online, So Brawls a must.

That's from a year ago. As in before Nintendo's hush hush against talking about Brawl's online status. Online was still confirmed back then. I think its still in, but we really don't know anymore.

As much of a blatant statement as that is, it was, for one, said over a year ago, and two, he said it was his "plan" to include Wi-Fi capabilities. Plans don't always fall through due to complications, so this isn't a "confirmation" as you said, and it isn't new news either.

and by the way... IGN is not Sakurai. IGN states that it will have Online, yet Sakurai nor the Dojo have yet to state the same information. Until there is an official update about Brawl having an Online mode, whether it be through the Dojo, or Interview from Sakurai himself.... Brawl doesn't have Online mode.

Are people this paranoid, IGN is Not Sakurai, IGN INTERVIEWED Sakurai, that date gives them plenty of time to work on online. They showed Snake in brawl a while back does that mean they gave up on him as plans failed?

I believe it'll have online play from reading that article. It's just that some people are getting worried about Brawl being online because of E3. I argee with BigRick as well.

If they were having complications regarding online, they would've said something by now.

It's a VERY reliable source. Corocoro is big on releasing Pokemon news most of the time (reason being most likely since the Pokemon manga is published in it), sometimes even providing news on other games, it just happened they got info on Brawl and confirmed both online and the Japanese release date.

Didn't think it was that reliable despite reading about how it told about the Japanese release date. Thanks, Luke Groundwalker.

It's not really been set in stone that Brawl is online. Nobody at Nintendo has yet said "Brawl will feature online", which is odd, but you'd have to be a fool not to assume that it will.

Also... Melee 2.0? Are you ********? I don't think I've seen a sequel with so much more stuff ever. Take Halo as your benchmark, there... that s**t is lame-school.

so stupid... this game was made for the sake of presenting the wi-fi with the wii

just because it isnt on dojo, doesnt mean its not confirmed.. meta knight wasnt on the dojo, we knew he was confirmed. snake isnt on dojo, we know hes confirmed (obviously a secret character so he wont be on there till the game is released)

ever think that they might be planning to announce it along with telling us what u can do on it, instead of just saying "update September 9, 2007--- Super Smash will support wi-fi" gee thanks? how about no

-- people were able to play melee online, what makes u think that nintendo honestly cant work online into brawl? people need to wake up.. the issue would be lag and thats fixed by showing a ping next to peoples names in the game lobby or something, if u dont want their high ping, dont play with them, or maybe it just wont support shtty connections

the internet said:
My plan is to include Wi-Fi connection compatibility and online functionality. One of the primary reasons Super Smash Bros. Brawl was created was that Nintendo, when taking Wii online, wanted to have Smash Bros. to do that,.
this means he wants to, not that he did. mabey it was just to laggy to work? mabey it did work! who knows?

what is there to see? they havent said any details about it, for all we know online could have 6 players instead of 4, they dont want to reveal major things yet for obvious reasons

theyre probably sitting there laughing at everyone who is questioning if brawl will have online or not.. its really.. not that hard for them to do.... its almost the same as them taking mariokart online..

the mario kart thats coming out supports 16 players online not 4 or whatever that brawl has, just like brawl mariokart has random things flying around and all that.. if they can get mariokart to work then they can get brawl to work, getting an online fighting game to run without lag isnt hard.. the reason they announced it for mario kart is because its just a remake of the DS one, theres no reason to hold back info from us.. this isnt mario kart
