Some people say that it is not fair if Mii's can use their 2 and 3 special moves because then Mii mains can customize and other characters cannot so they say that Mii's should be restricted to 1111. But Edgy Pit is like a customisation of Pit so then a case can be made that Edgy Pit should be banned as well.

Personally I think that they should just add 2 new characters and allow Edgy Pit and Mii's 2 and 3 special moves. Here are the 2 characters that they should create:

1. Mii R.O.B.
This Mii Fighter should be based on a new Mii. Mii R.O.B.'s size as well as his special moves should be parameters that can be legally changed in tournaments.

2. Edgy R.O.B.
This is like R.O.B. but all his color schemes use a blue LED instead of red and more black on his body in addition to that he has a few differences in his moves like:
- His Robo Beam is stronger and slower.
- His Arm Roter is electrical.
- His Ftilt has less Knockback.
- His Final Smash is Edgy R.O.B. Staff where he transform into a Sniper Rifle and then shoots a strong long beam straight forward.

These two characters would make the game fair again and would end the debate.

From a gameplay perspective he's like a custom set. When it comes to counterpicking and all that he's treated as a separate character, although he may be sharing a spot with Pit next tier list.

So long as he has a slot on the CSS and can't be properly removed (after playing 150 matches or so he's going to challenge you after every match, meaning you can't really keep him off the CSS) you can't really make a case for banning him outside of getting something like the Diddy glitch. It's not comparable.
