Available Stages
* Battlefield (BF)

* Lylat Cruise (LC)

________________
Set Format
----------------------
Round 1
(1) Controller slots are agreed upon (randomly if need be).
(2) Character selection is done "Double Blind". Any player may instead choose a character before the opponent and skip Double Blind.
(3) Stage Select is determined by Elimination Method (see 'Stage Select - First Round', below).

Round 2
(1) Loser of the previous round announces the stage to be played.
(2) Winner of the previous round selects character.
(3) Loser of the previous round selects character.
(4) Stage is highlighted and selected by the previous round's loser when the opponent is ready.

Repeat 1-4 for each additional round played.
_________________________
Stage Select - First Round
-----------------------------------
Players/Teams alternate choosing a stage to "eliminate" from the list of available stages, starting with the player/team with the controller slot closest to #1. The last stage remaining is used for the first round of the set.

_________________________________
'Double Blind' Character Select
----------------------------------------------
Characters chosen 'Double Blind' are selected in a manner so that neither player knows the opponent's character choice.

This is done by one player writing down his character selection followed by the opponent selecting his character in-game. The 'double blind' character is revealed and selected - neither character choice can be changed.

Often times if there are no writing utensils handy, a player will whisper the character choice to a Judge/Referee instead.

Additional Game Rules & Clarifications
--------------------------------------------------
* All participants are expected to understand all rules and are expected to adhere to them.

* Bring Your Own Controller. Wired or wireless, make sure it's in working condition, fully charged, etc. If there is a controller malfunction you are responsible for letting a Judge/Referee know. The Judge/Referee will decide if the match should continue, halt, or be replayed. If the Judge/Referee rules that the controller malfunction is not significant enough to interfere with the game, the player in question forfeits the game.

* In case of time-out, the winner is the player with the most stock. In case of tied stock, the winner is determined by lowest damage percent. If players are eliminated at the same time (such as with Suicide attacks), or the damage percent is equal, Sudden Death is played normally as a tie-breaker.

* Excessive stalling is prohibited and will be dealt with by a Referee's decision.

* In case of technical problems (e.g. power outage, controller issues, glitches, etc.) a Referee will make all decisions regarding the game.

* "Stock Sharing" in Doubles is allowed (press both A + B buttons/1 & 2 on Wiimote) when one player has exhausted stock to share a stock from a teammate.

* Doubles partners do NOT need to have adjacent slots.

* Finals in both the Primary and the Elimination Brackets will be "Best of Five" matches.

* Grand Finals will be "Best of Five" match, with the player coming from Elimination Bracket needing to win two Sets to take first place.

* Rules are subject to change without prior notice. All decisions by the Director/Judges/Referees will be final.

Sounds fun. Coincidentally I`ll be on my way back to Oregon on the 18th. But if I`ll be able to go to the event so soon after driving from here to there is another question...

Edit: Nopes, actually I`ll likely be back late on the 20th or 21st, so there goes that idea. Have fun, guyz!
