OLD SD card reader... Need help ;A;

Well I'm on a business trip, you see..

And my laptop doesn't have an SD card reader. So I got a laptop that does from work.

Unfortunately on this HP Compaq 6510b, the card reader is a dinky removable piece of plastic rack with 4 holes in them that are seemingly shaped like SD cards; in which mine does not fit snugly, it sits on top of the rack and slides around like mad.

I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly. Does anyone else have one of this POS card readers than can help me out u_u?

If the computer recognizes it, it works. If not, it doesn't. That answers your question.

If the thing doesn't work, but a USB SD card reader for 10 bucks. its called ImageMate.

I'm wondering HOW to get it to work, not IF what I did worked.

Yeah, and it won't work if its not recognizing it unless the SD card needs a special driver. If it doesn't have a pop up, the reader isn't working.

Buy an ImageMate.
