Hey guys, I’m Num3r1cal, and I’m looking to start a Smash League based on Nugget Bridge’s NPA. I couldn’t find anything like it, so here we go.

The /r/redditsmashleague will be a team tournament held here on Reddit that lets players join together and work as a team to try to best the competition. All 12 teams play in 8 rounds with the top 4 in each division making playoffs. The last remaining team in the playoffs will become the champions for this season. All matches will be played with the Anther's ruleset. Just a reminder the rules are:

* All matches will be played on Smash Bros. Wii U
* 3 Stocks, 8 Minutes
* Best of Three (First to Two)
* Starters: Battlefield, Smashville, Final Destination, Town and City, Lylat Cruise
* Counterpicks: Castle Siege, Delfino Plaza, Duck Hunt, Halberd
* Both Players Get One Ban for Starter, then Winner gets Two Bans for Counterpicks
* **Customs are allowed** (within the Evo ruleset)

Players sign ups will start July 24th. There will be weekly coverage going on throughout this season, so even if you aren’t drafted be sure to follow all of that!


**Tournament Structure**

* Each week, teams will go head to head in a fight to win the best of 5 games. So the winning team for the week will have to win 3 or more games.

* The 5 matches will consist of 5 standard ruleset matches between each member of the team.

* There are 8 weeks in the season, All-Star Break, two weeks for playoffs, and a week for finals for a total of 11 weeks

* Each team will consist of the 1 manager and a minimum of 5 battlers. Each week, each manager must submit a roster of what 5 players they are using for the week to Num3r1cal. Managers are not allowed to play in the weekly games, but are encouraged to help the team practice.

* Managers must post saying they’re subbing an inactive player out to put in another player. Once a player is subbed in that week, they must either play or the match will be decided on activity.

* All games will be played on Nintendo Wii U system using Super Smash Bros. for Wii U


**Managers**
For RSL to be a success, players must step up for the role of manager. Being a manager, you get to have fun organizing your team together and then working with the players to try to get them to play to the best of their ability as each week comes along. Here we have sign ups for you to apply and try to become a manager yourselves.


**If you have a crew made up, or you want to gather your own players, YOU MAY BRING YOUR OWN TEAM TO THE LEAGUE. If you do this, you will not participate in the draft.**


**Draft**
Players will have a chance to sign up from July 18th to July 29th, and the draft will be held in a thread in /r/redditsmashleague. The draft his will be a snake format (1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, etc.) (if you have questions about it, just comment below). As a manager’s turn comes around, they will have 6 hours to make their pick, or they lose their pick for that round. It’s recommended that a manager come into the draft with a set of players already in mind to draft.

Details of the draft will be worked out soon.


**Trades**
If teams wish, they may trade for players from other teams for players of their own. They will first start out by proposing the trade to the team manager they want to deal with. If both managers agree to the trade, message the trade info to Num3r1cal using the reddit’s message system. Once you receive approval, the trade is official and considered done. If a trade is done mid-week, the player swap is in effect at the end of the week.
No more trades may be made after week 6.


**Mid-Season and All-Star Week**
There will be a mid-season break after week 4 for teams to pick up new players in the mid-season draft and conduct trades. While this is going on, the current 10 players with the best ratings will be able to participate in All-Star Week.


**Playoffs**
The playoffs will contain the top 2 teams from each division. It will be single elimination.


**Rankings**
Rankings will be determined by the Iteritive Strength Rating System(ISR). It is basically ratings that factor in Strength of Schedule.
