Hello everyone! I'm borrowing this great idea from a friend on dA whom does this very often. She says it has helped her with her drawing abilities, taught her a few things, and she's been able to teach others as well! It's almost like a Let's Play - but with artwork!
Here's how it works:
During scheduled times, an artist will record themselves drawing/shading/doing something for others to watch. During this time others can suggest ideas, pick colors, or even help the artist decide on what to draw! They can critique the work as the artist goes along, and everyone gets to join in on the fun.
Now this isn't just an idea it's what I'll be doing myself! I'm not the best artist in the world, but I'm also doing this in hopes of it catching on. I think it's a wonderful idea, and will help everyone who participates.
I plan to do digital drawings, digital coloring (usually practicing cel-shading), tutorials, graphic design (What I usually do), and a request tutorial on how to do something every now and then.
I have a microphone, so there will be commentary as I draw. I'll be letting everyone know what I'm doing, just in case it's not extremely visible - and my goal is to improve.
I was wanting to do a test broadcast today, but ran into issues installing ManyCam due to my stepdad not giving me my admin rights. I had them when I was 12.... why don't I have them when I'm 17? =| Don't know... so I'm thinking my first broadcast will instead be tomorrow. It's an unplanned, test broadcast so expect it to be a bit boring. It'll mostly just be me getting used to using Ustream and seeing how bad my computer runs when I'm trying to run Photoshop and stream at the same time.

What I want from anyone interested right now, is the main hours they may be able to participate in this. Currently my schedule is open and I'll be trying to work when I do this to try and get as many participants/viewers as possible. During the time you can of course, feel free to chat amongst yourselves and laugh at me when I have problems drawing a circle.
Assuming I get ManyCam installed tonight, my first broadcast will be:
3pm PMT, October 12th [6pm EST, 11pm GMT]
Feel free to create your own channel if you have the means to record yourself. Commentary isn't neccessary, and I'd love to watch other people draw. (It doesn't have to be on the computer! If you have a webcam I'm certain you can find a way to angle it well enough so we can see you draw traditionally!) If you do so I'll create a list with everyones channels up there with my own.
Hope to see you then!
