No flames enter past here...,

this thread is not based off of any particular form of knowledge or foresight, this' merely for us to begin making our predictions for fun! So no flaming allowed.

Use what you know from melee, and use what you think you know from Brawl..., (about heavy characters, about projectile users, about what's been buffed & nerfed as far as we know it...), and what we do know from Brawl (about speed, floatiness, etc.) to create your best educated prediction about who will lead the pack in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

This first official tier prediction thread will be strictly for pre-release assumptions...,
I will create #2 & 3 threads both one month after Brawl has been released & one year after release so we can easily determine how accurately our predictions turned out.

It'll be FUN! So game on.

P.S. Please make sure to add a quick descriptor for the why you believe this character deserves their position.

Also assume, no items, no final smashes, and all-around play (balanced between 1v1, & 4 person ffa)

GOODSPEED87's Tier Predictions, 12/02/07

HIGH TIER

Peach Mindgames, turnips, recovery, all-around buff.
Fox Still shines, great projectiles & speed, still Fox.
Pit Impeccable recovery, speed, & an aimable, fast projectile.
Diddy Kong Combos, speed, projectile, >B monkey-face-****.

HIGH-MIDDLE TIER

Metaknight Great speed, recovery, manueverability, but low k.o.
Sonic Uber fast, high-vertical recovery, top-manuevers, low-dmg & k.o.
Red Versatility, skillful play-style, highly technical with high reward.
Snake Powerful, Great Technique, Useful Projectiles, with aiming.
Lucas Beefed psychic powers, a new tether recovery, freeze.

MIDDLE TIER

Pikachu Lightning fast, a buffed vB, chaingrabs.
Mario All-around buff, tricky fighting style, the cape.
Samus Survivor, projectile-spam, great recovery, priority, & power.
Yoshi Buffed range, the Eggs, & a useful meteor & sex kick. Great.
Link Nerfed ^B, gale 'rang, same ol' Link, slightly speedier.
King Dedede Turnipesque, floats, heavy, powerhouse.

MIDDLE-LOW TIER

Zelda Magic attacks, good reaching aerials, teleportation recovery.
Kirby I imagine he's buffed all-around, his floats are great.
Bowser Heavy, unflinching, & wreaks havoc in the right hands.
Ice Climbers Not sure about desynching, but very strong, there's 2 of them!

LOW TIER

Wario Mindgames, unpredictable, medium weight, & strong.
Ike Slow, but with a great parry, & unmatched killing potential.
Donkey Kong Slightly buffed Donkey, but still too bulking.

We don't predict Tier Lists before the game even releases and all we've had as experience is a demo for four days. Especially when this is a highly debatable subject that no one can reliably predict yet.

We also have a bunch of Smash pros who will do this for us, actually.
