Can you choose your character at the game stop tourney? we canadian can't with our EB games tourny... since its the same company maybe you should investigate.I don't think I'll be online that weekend lol
Anime/Sci-fi convention of sorts happening the same weekend Brawl comes out surprisingly. I might be able to play Brawl a day or two before it's release lol
Which is good cause I need to see if I can play as any of the starters for the Gamestop Tourney.
From what I've been reading in a Gamestop Tip thread...pass all the "A player's guide to casual/competitive/other players" crapCan you choose your character at the game stop tourney? we canadian can't with our EB games tourny... since its the same company maybe you should investigate.
the problem I think, is because Its also organisated by Nintendo CANADA. The rules are Clearly writen on www.nintendo.ca in canada there is no such melee tourny things. The grand prize is a crap trip for 2 to the nintendo store in NYC.From what I've been reading in a Gamestop Tip thread...pass all the "A player's guide to casual/competitive/other players" crap
The first round will be done in Melee. The rest will be in Brawl and you can only use the Starting Characters. Wii-motes only.
That seems to be the common rules, but you should probably check the EB store you plan to enter at, cause the rules seem to vary from EB to EB/Gamestop.
...you sure this is the same tournament we're talking about? lolthe problem I think, is because Its also organisated by Nintendo CANADA. The rules are Clearly writen on www.nintendo.ca in canada there is no such melee tourny things. The grand prize is a crap trip for 2 to the nintendo store in NYC.
If your good you'll do good that happened to me in my first tourney. Tourneys are fun I just hate going against the asian kids though.I just want to see how bad/good I stand up to competitive players. I've been playing for fun for the longest of time and finally decided to get competitive. It's been a long road to get my skills where it is right now, so now I want to see how I compare to the tourney people.
prolly bad if you haven't played competitively before. You'll have a big disapointment at first.I just want to see how bad/good I stand up to competitive players.
