Klonoa is a popular underground character in the USA, and a popular character in Japan.
Klonoa was made by Namco (makers of Pac-Man) who has the possibility of allowing one of their characters into Brawl.

Klonoa first debuted in Klonoa: Door to Phantomile.

He has appeared in a crossover already, that one being Namco x Capcom.

Moveset:

His moveset is very realistic and uses everything Klonoa has to offer.

Klonoa for Brawl, as the official rep of Namco!

I support Klonoa! I used to play his game on PS.... one of the funnest games ever (on that system) He is a very good candidate, has a very unique moveset imo... who knows, maybe he'll be in!

Does he seriously not already have a thread?

I played Klonoa the other day... I beat the whole game in less than 4 hours :p

Klonoa's awesome, but I think if Namco gets a representative it will be Pac-Man.....he's the company mascot and a legend in the world of video games and pop culture. Even people who have never played a game know who Pac-Man is.

Jag förstår inte. Vad sa du?
Well, better Klonoa then Pac-man if you ask me.
QFT! I'm actually for Kloana...not that I care who the last 3rd party is...I'm content with Pit (first party, I know) and Sonic...

The only thing that concerns me (besides calling the Final Smash a Brawl attack) is the down-B...what exactly would it do? Fire sound waves? Paralyze opponents?

EDIT: I just noticed something...please...tell me I'm not the only one who sees Pac Man on Kloana's hat...

So that's why Snake and Sonic are in Brawl?
Snake debuted on Nintendo you idiot and Sonic was the most requested third party unlike Klonoa who only has a crappy GBA game. I doubt they'll add a character whose good games belong to the competition.

If Sega hadn't failed with their home consoles Sonic would have never had a chance to make it in the game.

This post shows you how ignorant you truly are.

-Solid Snake and Metal Gear franchise debuted on the MSX2 home computer in Japan.
North America was introduced to Metal Gear & Solid Snake on the NES, yeah, but it's NOT where Snake debuted.

-Klonoa's GBA games have received very good scores from numerous websites/magazines.

The game rankings pages even show what other websites rated the games, and they're all good reviews too!

You wouldn't have known that unless you had google'd it LOSER! God how many people can actually know MGS didn't debut on NES, and this thread should die already, so no more posts from me.

I wasn't replying to you, so STFU already, tell that to all the MGS players who think the franchise debuted on NES as well, most people didn't get their first taste of MGS through a crappy computer game.
Too bad. Your failure is prominent.

Even if you didn't know, it takes about five seconds to look it up on Google for anyone who doesn't know. It honestly isn't that hard to figure out. You have to be an idiot to miss it, which is nothing new with you.

*yawns yet again*
Stop spamming, please.

But anyway, back on topic... Klonoa would be a wonderful addition to SSBB, in all seriousness.... last thing we need is another character clone, and Klonoa is VERY unique. I'm also hoping he gets in for the simple fact that the franchise could use a refresher... the games truly are fun if you've played them!

As much as I wish he'd be in though, I'm certain it's going to be someone more popular (as I believe there is only 1 spot left for a 3rd party) But you never know...

Why just 3 third party characters?

I mean we have Konami and Sega.
Namco and Capcom should have at it next.

I have played the very first Klonoa game on PSX once or twice. It has some marvelous boss battle themes(my favorite ones are those heard during the battles with Joka and that possessed king). At any rate, Klonoa should be an obvious choice for a Namco representative, since Pac-Man wouldn't do too much.

R.M.B. were else?
I never heard of kloahna. butI do know one thing, no matter how fun his games are, he wont get in as a namco rep before pac-man, no matter how much we dislike it. even pac-man's chances are realy slim, so dont count on this character getting in.

How do you know pacman's chances are slim? people think his looks decrease his chances "Oh, he's just a yellow ball", he has more chance than you people give him credit for, just look at Mr G&W.

I made this awhile back..

Ive been having this argument between Pacman and Klonoa for awhile on GameFaqs. Klonoa represents pacman with his pin on his cap. Klonoa has been in a crossover with Capcom and is more fresh to the younger community. Pacman may be more well known, but there is no question that Klonoa would be a wise choice to represent Namco in the Brawl line-up. Pacman is too plain. Why not put Klonoa in since he represents them both? Stupid people always saying that his games sucked... I asked them if they ever played them, and they never have... Idiots... -sigh- Check the game scores on Gamespot and they are all above average unlike Pacman world for PS2. That **** bombed horribly.

For any other Klonoa fans, id cream my jeans if they gave Klonoa his "Hurricane Thunder" for his Final Smash from "Namco X Capcom". Also his badass Wind Ring power up that gives him a sword.

man that game was sick. he would be pretty cool in brawl but there are many third party characters in my mind that come before him. that was a sick game and his pacman hat is awsome

I agree. Pac-man doesn't seem to have that good of a moveset either. Klonoa has a large variety to choose from. Maybe something like Dedede's enemy toss, but with Moos and an occasional Boomie. Also, the ability to float and do a double jump. In Lunatea's Viel, Klonoa had a taunt button. (He crosses his arms saying "Wahoo! Loopuludoo!") That taunt could also be used for Brawl. And not only can his ring change into a wind sabre, but also maces, a parasol, a hammer, etc. And since Klonoa has been in a fighting game instead of Pac-Man (shown ONLY by a statue and on Klonoa's hat), he has more of a chance.

And yes, I'm hoping his final smash will be the Thunder Hurricane as well.

By the way, I did hear about a rumor on a Japanese Wiki and other boards about Klonoa being in Brawl. Also, his voice actor, Kumiko Watanabe said that she would be VAing in a major Nintendo title (Brawl maybe?). This was said to be in her blog, but when asked about it by fans, she took it off.

So, let's keep hoping.

Lol, this thread has my cool "newcomer" picture in it though. Its a page or two back I think.

Don't get me wrong, Pac Man is cool, but for some reason I find it hard to believe if Nintendo ever asked Namco to choose a character to join the Brawl, that they would end up choosing Pacman.

I have a stronger feeling that they would make Pacman an Assist Trophey that turns everybody into blue ghosts and he chases after you to eat you. That or just some sort of cameo appearence. Klonoa has more of a backround story to work with, and I am sure Nintendo would find that easier to work into the Brawl adventure mode. Pacman would totally kill the scene since ive never seen him frown.

yeah. completely true. pacman does not have the goods to be in brawl and his new 3-d games suck hard.
