Update:

Not a chracter vid, but edgeshielding

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0LrNKTdaxA&fmt=18

I am going to make some more smash 64 vids soon and some of them will be in-depth character-based.

Which character shall I do ? I'll do any except mario, luigi, jiggly, kirby, pika. I'll make it a very good guide by typing it up in my class before recording vids and stuff. I'll show you my ways because I want everybody who watches to get better when 64 gets released for VC, where tournaments will then spawn for n64 smash (hopefully).

Other videos I will make are how to do easy combos with every character, secret tricks, and maybe just record matches for my youtube. Just PM me or leave me your AIM if you are interested in doing so. If you are a known high level person, you are automatically in. If you are lower level, I'll test you first.. don't want to bore the audience. We'll do 3 practice games first and then the next 2 or 3 will go up no matter what happens.

The combos video will simply be easy, lame combos to more practical, sexier ones for each character.

Give your input on what you want. THanks!

I'm confused why you won't do Mario. He has a lot of hidden stuff that the casual smash player doesn't know such as:

*Rising Tornado
*Recovery with Rising Tornado and Mario's multiple recovery options with it
*Spike with Rising Tornado
*Double Short Hop Aerials
*Straight and Slanted Up B

Those are just to name some of the few things that are character specific just for Mario. I think he's one of the characters that have the most character specific techniques. Then again, I could be wrong. I'm just throwing this out in the open.

Lol he isn't doing pika jiggs mario luigi >.>

DK and Yoshi's strengths are the least obvious, I feel like. Those would be good choices.

Yoshi certainly has plenty of character specific tricks/techniques.
I know but I would like to see someone better then me make a video about Pikachu >_< Mine needs to get vamped!

I have 3 tips for DK players

1. Use UpB a lot
2. Watch your % when you’re on an edge.
3. End your combos with DK Punch!

Spike with rising tornado isn't that practical. The rest though, good.

He might just not be good with Mario. I will get to continuing mah guide soon, then finishing it up once I get to a standard level [I might be too laggy for tournaments, but I might as well improve to enjoy friendlies]. Won't be video, though. >_<

The only reason I'm not doing Mario or Luigi is because I'm not good with the perfect up-air combos and stuff.

I guess I'll start with Samus then, expect a guide on my youtube within the next few days (maybe today if i lose my laziness.)

And also, the main focus of my guide is to use each character at a high level. Cute tricks will be included but won't be really emphasized.

I'd say DK, Yoshi, or Samus

All three of them are underestimated and have multiple techniques.

I'd be happy with any characters if this will be as good as it sounds. I'd like to see DK and Fox the most, but yeah, I wouldn't complain if others were done first.

Hey everybody

sorry but doing the character guides on video is going to be really tough. I really want to do a complete job on each character but just trying to organize it and putting it without my biased input would be really hard. Also I really suck at video editing with Sony Vegas. If I ever come to create a character video I just want it to be good enough so that it'll be really good for people to become a lot better with their chars.

I think I might be better off simply writing an essay about a certain character when I'm really bored and add videos to show some stuff later.

The videos will eventually come but I'm probably going to just continue to upload vids of other tricks first, there's still a lot I haven't covered

Whenever you decide to make the video(s), it will still be appreciated regardless!

I've seen some of your other vids and they're pretty cool and stuff.

Hey check it a new video on Edgeshielding
Nice vid. I did this accidentally enough times to realize it and then start using it as a mindgame a while back, it's funny how many players fall for it if you make it look like you are vulnerable.

And don't worry about your editing skills - this edgeshielding video was very clear, concise, and easy to watch & understand. If any future videos you make follow the same style/format, you will have no complaints
