Furthest from the front aint good enough from you? Yoshi has had his own games before at least.I like the design, especially the inclusion of Pit, Marth and Samus. But what's Yoshi doing there? Can't we stop pretending he's important?
I agree, I'm still hoping they'll release a name sometime before Japan gets it. It's awkward to talk about when I use terms like Melee, PM, Brawl, and uh....3DS I mean Smash 3DS or is it 4? Please Nintendo, give this game a name.I still hate the name. I feel like I'm the only one.
"Smash Bros. for 3DS" and "Smash Bros. for Wii U" lack identity. They're so generic and unimaginative. I was sincerely hoping that they would officially reveal the real names of the new Smash Bros. games at E3, but that didn't happen.
I've never liked Nintendo's affinity for naming their games after their consoles. SNES had "Super" games, N64 had "64" slapped onto the end of everything, Wii and DS were notorious for the same thing-- really, the Gamecube was the only generation that got creative titles for all their mainstays.
The box actually looks really good to me. I guess Ike would've been a nice addition since he looks awesome now. I am a little surprised the major 3rd party guys aren't there (Sonic and Megaman.)Super Smash Bros for wii U = super smash bros 4 you
Seeing diffrent characters on the boxes are cool
Who do u think are missed?
It seems to me that Fox is hevily nerfed, not showing up in any of the boxes.
In my mind Pit is a strong representation of Brawl, whether or not if he was deemed good competitively in Brawl he still feels like an integrated character in Smash Bros franchise since Brawl. I still remember being excited when he was revealed before the game came out. He was probably the first or second character I used, that being said, I never play Pit...I'm kind of disappointed they used most of the same characters. And the fact that they put Pit on both is showing quite a bit of Sakurai bias. He's not a new character and he's hardly the most marketable. I would've put almost anyone else in the current cast in his spot instead.
I can understand that. Maybe Marth is a starter? Mind = blown. It's cool we finally have a Fire Emblem character on a smash cover.
I would like that. Quite a bit even if he has never been hard to unlock lolMaybe Marth is a starter? Mind = blown.
I'm still calling it Smash Through, since Through works as a combination of Three and U, at least in my mind.I still hate the name. I feel like I'm the only one.

Rosalina and Luma being a starter bothers me... I think it's because she's been an unlockable in every single game she's been playable so far. (And a DLC for world tour)This basically gives us a majority of the "Starter" Roster.
- Mario
- Link
- Kirby
- Yoshi
- Pikachu
- Samus
- Donkey Kong
- Pit
- Peach
- Marth
- Little Mac
- Rosalina & Luma
- Villager
- Wii Fit Trainer
Rosalina has appeared as playable in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Golf: World Tour, and as an NPC in Mario Party: Island Tour. I think she might have looked better on the Wii U cover though, aesthetically and thematically.Actually Rosalina and Little Mac seem to be the real outliers here. Have either of them ever appeared on a handheld before?
The 3DS box art have more interesting characters, so I am glad. Except for Yoshi, I would swap him for someone else, if possible.
Be grateful, at least he's finally getting a new game that isn't Smash Bros. :VWhere is Fox at? Not only have we gotten little to no information on Star Fox content, he's not even on the box arts? Really a downer for Star Fox this time around.
Sometimes I forget he's even been revealed since the start, we never see him. Don't know why really. I think he could be a good replacement for Pit on the 3DS version.Where is Fox at? I am indifferent to Yoshi. I don't like nor I hate it......
Get out.
But c'mon man, everyone loves Yoshi.
But Pit > Fox and Kid Icarus > Star Fox.Sometimes I forget he's even been revealed since the start, we never see him. Don't know why really. I think he could be a good replacement for Pit on the 3DS version.
