What is the skill level of this tournament?
Here is the finals of our previous charity event for Melee in Feb
And for Smash 4 (we only ran doubles at the event for Smash 4)

We've had some solid players in SoCal come out to our events, and this time around we will most likely have better players come out.

At our previous events we've had a good turnout for smash games. Melee at our previous charity event had 47 entrants. At our most recent event in April, we hosted Smash 4 with Smash Entity, and received 58 entrants and Melee received 40 entrants. I expect even more entrants to show up this time around!

By simple enough do you mean skill-wise? There will be good players, but there will be people just like you going to their first tournament.

Notice that this is a charity event, and everyone is there to play for a good cause. The event will last all day, and there will be a lot of time for casuals after the tournament. You can definitely play a lot of games after the tournament which is the most important part of any tournament, since you can play a lot of matches and learn from better players.

Do you have to bring your own smash bros controller?
Yes, please bring your own controller. Otherwise you'd have to play on the WiiU Gamepad. 2GGaming will allow any controller (Gamecube, Pro Controller, etc.).

are the smash 4 tournament gonna be singles this time?
We only have singles planned for this time, but 2GGaming has decided to run doubles as well if the time permits.

Any age requirements?
There is no age requirement, but keep in mind that this is a FGC event on a college campus. We've had some kids come in with their parents in the past, and they may have felt out of place since everyone else there would be adults.

Doors will open at 11am, but tourneys will start at 1pm. Between those times will be friendlies/warmup. You have up until about 20 minutes before 1 to register before we close off registration to start the tourneys. You can find the schedule in the topic post.

Sorry ONE more question I hope it's not too late, if a friend wishes to arrive later maybe not to register to play but to buy a ticket will they still be able to after like 12?
