Who are Henry and June?
Henry and June are the hosts of KaBlam!. Between the show's shorts, you would see a plot involving various antics these two would get into. They range from just introducing the concept of KaBlam! in its very first episode, to being forced into a rigorous exercise routine by Richard Simmons, to having His Dishonor, The Mayor from Action League Now! attempt to take over the show, to having to simultaneously deal with ninjas and budget cuts in the very last episode. Oh, and Henry being June's butt-monkey. Very, very much so.

Outside of KaBlam!, once Stick Stickly was retired, they were used in a very similar manner to him, being the hosts of blocks such as 101% Whizbang! and U-Pick Friday. Later on they were the hosts of "Nicktoon World News", which contrary to its name was also used to promote Pokemon 3: The Movie.

What is KaBlam!?
It's an animation compilation which mainly tries to focus on "alternative" styles of animation. This is especially demonstrated with three of its main sketches: Action League Now!'s mix of stop motion and "chuckimation" which involves footage of figures getting chucked across the screen, Life With Loopy combining stop motion with puppets, live action, and generally surreal designs, and Prometheus and Bob's stop motion (the pattern here is a coincidence) combined with limited voice acting and also bizarre character designs. Sniz and Fondue not so much, as it uses traditional cel animation, probably from it initially going to be a full Nicktoon. While decently popular at the time, each episode is plagued with licensing issues that've prevented Nick from rerunning it frequently or giving it home releases, ranging from the show's use of licensed music to celebrity guest appearances to Viacom not owning broadcasting rights to certain segments like Lava. While Nick has tried multiple solutions, those being combining ALN shorts into their own show and airing the other main four's shorts between shows, it still wasn't enough for many to remember KaBlam!, let alone Henry & June since they were not a part of these shorts. Thankfully, their artist Mark Marek has uploaded the entire series to his site for free:

What could Henry & June do?
Well, let's get something obvious out of the way: As of the day I'm typing this, NASB still lacks an equivalent to the Ice Climbers. While some suggest the Angry Beavers or the...Nick Jr. logo as potential IC equivalents, the Beavers' thread showcases how a solo Beaver could also work (for either one!), and I'm not sure if a TV logo is going to be considered a viable character, especially given who Ludosity's had to fight for.

Aside from the obvious "Ice Climbers Equivalent", this idea showcases them summoning characters from the show's shorts:
Although given the aforementioned licensing issues, it'd be better for an H&J moveset to focus on what they've done in their segments, such as:
  • Turning the page, like Mario/Dr. Mario's cape
  • An up-air based on how they jump into the comic at the end of the intro
  • Bringing out the giant drill they used to try and get to the real world in "The Best of Both Worlds"
  • June pulling down Henry's pants, referencing how Surprising Shorts would be introduced
  • June punching Henry away, functioning similarly to Luma Shot
  • Throwing stage equipment downwards as a reference to the falling stage equipment in "Takes a Knockin' and Keeps Tick-Tockin'"
  • As an ICs equivalent, Belay can be replicated with the vine they use to cross the river in "The Kablair! Witch Project", and they've been shown swinging mallets in "You May Already Be a...KaBlammer!" (but it shouldn't be the basis of their moveset, just one move)
  • While not a reference to any specific moment, June swinging Henry like a bat or sword would help reference the abuse he sufferes
  • And of course, the martial arts moves they're shown using to deal with the ninjas in "Just Chillin'" as well as shown by the June doll in "E. Pluribus KaBlam!"
