I decided to main pikachu and i figured out something realy cool today!!!

I chaingrabbed fox and falco with the d-throw till almost 50% (not entirely sure if you can keep going with it but i just finish it off to be safe) no problem and finish off with a usmash. easy 0-60%. i haven't tried it alot, but my friend couldn't get out of it as falco. It doesn't work against characters who recover from stun quickly (luigi, samus, peach, dedede etc) but it seems to work against falco and fox flawlessly. We had my friend try to break out of it with DI or air dodge but nothing worked. maybe someone can prove me wrong because i'm still skepticle about it.

Pikachu can also fake chain grab with the forward throw at 0% unless the opponent dodges or something. if they dodge or anything you can just punish it anyways with a dsmash.

anyways hope this helps. even if it doesn't actually work.

what do you mean by fake chain grab with the forward throw? also i think pikachu can probably chain grab any fast faller like the space animals, unfortunately there are few in brawl that fall fast

actually, i chainthrew fox up 'til around 90-ish with dthrow...this is assuming they don't DI off of the stage. from there, i end it with a dsmash. not sure if it works on any other characters though.

I also discovered this "chain grab". I used it against a fox, and he couldn't get out of it until 90 ish %. But, my friends don't know how to properly DI, so maybe thats why. Can anyone try this out? I would do it, but I don't have any pro friends. :)

Pseudo chain grabbing with forward-throw was possible in melee, against floaty characters. Chain grabbing fox/falco/falcon was also possible in melee, but with up-throw instead of down-throw. So none of this is really new, however the fact that it carried over from melee to brawl is very good news.

that might have something to do with the nockback decrees effect. The more you throw without interrupting it with moves in between the lower the nockback making it easer to chain throw longer.

EnigmaticCam - Thanks for relaying some age old information about MELEE. But we are talking about brawl here; just telling them what i've found out about it. But thanks any how for the history lesson.

You may have discovered something cool and very useful here (I've been using it to 0-death ikes and such on wifi to a pretty good degree of success), but there's no need to flame people over it. Cam wasn't being rude at all, but because he made an observation means you have to get all defensive about it? Chill out dude. Seriously. If anything you should be taking that as a compliment seeing as he basically said that you rediscovered the new pika CT.

Dthrow CT till 40 -> usmash/dsmash -> two or three thunders

It's probably escapable, but no one I've played has gotten out of it yet. Depending on how much they DI, you'll probably have to QAC the thunders to pull them off fast enough.
