Smash Wii U Not getting new trophies?

So I understand that you get around 140+ unique trophies through Classic and All-Star alone but what bothers me is that I can't seem to to find any newer trophies through Trophy Rush or the shop.

Also, I have yet to see any 2500g priced trophies in the trophy shop (Miu and Mayu, for instance) over my 100+ hours of playtime. Are these just extremely rare?

You'll start seeing 2500G trophies at the shop as your trophy collection grows. I think you need to have at least 500 different trophies before you start seeing trophies that are that expensive.

Only certain trophies have that kind of price; Ex.: Mega Mewtwo X & Y is 2500G. The more common trophies that you'll see early in the game will maintain their low price values.

It is possible, but what I do know is that the alternate fighter trophies are Trophy Shop exclusives.

Yep, and they only unlock once you beat either Classic or All-Star with the respective character.

I seem to have just recently hit the point where the 2500s unlock. For the record, I was at 544 trophies (coincidentally(?), Brawl's total) and had just hit 200 custom moves. I'd wager the latter was what unlocked the rest, but who knows.
