Not enough info

Does anyone else notice that when the Dojo has a new update, that they tend to not give enough info? This sometimes makes us make a big deal out of it, or blow it out of proportion
(Such as the target test, and the idea of 5 maps for each character = 200 Maps, ect)

I just wish that they would give enough detail for us to fully understand what it is and how it functions, rather then having four updates of a character in a week, ect.

Good point, but if they gave us all the information we wanted, there wouldn't be so much anticipation for the actual game.
Well, lets say that for two weeks, all the dojo has is taunts for the characters.

They could just make it all into one update, rather then making us stay up at 3 AM for bs, and make more room for better things.

Nobody is making you stay up until 3 AM.

Plus, if "enough info" was revealed, there would be people making pointless threads complaining that we'd be getting spoiled with info, to which people then say "then don't check the DOJO"...

So as you can see, it's a vicious cycle. And uh, yeah, there's really no need to complain about not getting ENOUGH info.

Why should they reveal everything? So you have nothing to look forward to once you get the game? Sakurai is merely giving us tidbits of information at a time so we're more excited about the game. There would be no point about revealing everything on the dojo as it's up to the person to go deeper into the game once they get their hands on it.

So what? I'd be thankful we'd be getting updates at all and hope something more interesting gets revealed in the future. No one is forcing you to stay up to 3AM.

They are doing that on purpose, for that EXACT reason. They want suspense and anticipation, obviously. Any game wants that. Personally, I think they're giving out too much info on New Characters to Brawl. I wanted to be surprised by the new additions : /

That's funny, I'm the exact opposite. I want them to tell me every new character that's coming our way, so I get uber pumped for the game's release. "Oh man, I can play as _____?! I CAN'T WAIT!!"

I don't care so much for the movesets and final smashes though. In fact I'd rather just know the characters and speculate what their moves will be. That'd give me surprise value while actually playing. But I feel as though I need to know who the characters are to get me excited about the game itself.

i think nintendo knos that even if they dont reveal too much info or leave us in suspense when it comes down to it we are all still gonna buy the game either way. thats why im greatful that they even have daily updates, when they dont have to.

It's on purpose. He can use the stuff he hasn't showed us yet, (e.g. Diddy Kong's B-Side and B-Down moves, even though we already know what they are) for filler updates. Otherwise he would eventually run out of stuff to show us, and we would get like 1 Item update everyday or something.

With these updates, I'm liking that they're revealing certain things (characters, for instance), while being cunningly vague about others (how systems, SE, and how modes work), because the things that they're witholding are the things I'm going to have fun finding out about.

That said, the only subject on witholding info that I'm ticked about is how they only release 2 or 3 of a character's B moves and leave the last one for a later update.

Here's an idea. Don't stay up until 3AM. You can check the update first thing when you get up.
It's what I do.

I think they're doing a good job and so are a lot of people. If you want to complain, fine, but that won't stop people from liking it.

The thing is, the Melee updates had more pictures, all of their special moves were named and illustrated, and they just seemed meatier. I suppose Brawl does have to "stall for time" but really.
