Unfortunately, I really doubt i'll be attending any more of these. At first it seemed like a great idea, but now i'm not so sure. I don't think competitive Brawl is my thing, and i've seen how it changes a lot of people. Once was enough to experience the buzz of tournament play, and I really enjoyed it! But from now on, i'll stick to friendly games and online matches

I may just attend the odd one for fun, and to catch up with friends etc. But nah, it's just beyond me. I know for a fact that the game is beyond me. When I started playing Melee, I was told I sucked and would never get anywhere. But I played well, I got Brawl, I did better, I practiced and I think I am decent enough now to say 'Yes, I have achieved something to be proud of' and really, that's all that matters. Manchester Ranbats was very fun, I think I came something like 9th and absolutely loved the fact that I managed to place somewhere other than last! I also met up with some of my good friends and I had an awesome time.
But I know if it continued, it'd end up been too serious, and I know for a fact that i'd never win the top spot. Going to these events would cost money that i'd never win back It just raises the pot for everyone else. So you can all sit there with a lesser pot :D
But I did enjoy it none the less!

Mate that sucks, you had a potentially killer G&W.Unfortunately, I really doubt i'll be attending any more of these. At first it seemed like a great idea, but now i'm not so sure. hmmm, a late ranbat in the first week of Aug is very much possible. Streetfighter is out of season in August so we can get quite a few tournaments in that month
