Hey everyone! Are any other Ness players going to the Norcal Regionals Tournament in April? I'm kind of excited but I'm also kind of worried since customs are allowed at this event. I personally don't mind customs, but when I do play my matches I don't want to be surprised by a custom. Have any of you found a way around this, or the quickest way to memorize how most of the customs work? Also Have any of you guys played against others with super annoying custom moves?

I personally haven't but I've only seen videos of Donkey Kong and Palutena so far, and they seem like pretty scary characters when customs are on haha.

I've played Shing0's WFT with customs. However, at the time, I wasn't familiar with WFT's moves, so I was to expect the unexpected regardless and work my way around it. I fought Jurm's Kirby with customs. It was mostly the Final Cutter that gave me issues because it came out so quick like Marth's Dolphin Slash. I fought a Link with customs. He had the arrows set to the ones that deal a lot of damage when charged but go nowhere when not. Then there was Rice's Dr. Mario/Mario and Fox. Every custom move is basically the same as their counterparts, just with different looks and/or attributes. DK and Palutena have scary customs. You don't necessarily need to fight your opponents with their customs on. I think familiarizing yourself through videos could work so you know what to expect. My best friend doesn't like customs because he thinks they're full of cheese and I can see why. If you adapt quickly enough, you won't have to worry so much about these things.

I lied about some customs. I don't know, maybe it's just Palutena's customs. Her regular B special shoots beams, but one of her custom B specials make her shoot a large fireball. There is a video on YouTube with Palutena in action with customs on at a tourney. I'll have to see if I can find it. She was going up against a Diddy Kong if I recall correctly.

Since I'm finally done with the quarter I'm going to look at these videos! @ Noa. Noa. thanks dude :)

So far I've played against a certain number of people who had customs. My list Sonic, Palutena, Donkey Kong, VIllager. From most annoying to least xD
