I don't know if this is the right place for this but , I'm pretty new here and just had a few questions.

How do you N-air up the ledge ?
What buttons do you use to SHDF ?
Whats the best way you practice your Marth when you're home alone?

How do you N-air up the ledge ?
Do the following:

1. Let go of the ledge
2. Double jump
3. Nair
4. Point the control stick towards the middle so you land on stage.

You need to be kinda fast, or at least it'll probably feel that way at first.

What buttons do you use to SHDF ?
Short hop double fair? I personally use X and c-stick, but there are other ways. This is more fancy than useful though (not saying it's useless, but there are better things to learn as a beginner).

Whats the best way you practice your Marth when you're home alone?
You can either practice combos on level 3/4 CPUs, or you can plug in an extra controller and just practice movement (name entry glitch also works, but that's a little more complicated).

normally i don't post advice but....your post was the top post in the marth threads so i clicked on it

nair from the ledgeby first training your tap down jump regrab.

when you tap down on the ledge you shouldn't fastfall, then jump so that you go up to max height and then fall and regrab the ledge. keep doing that a 1000 times and eventually you won't randomly fastfall that much...

then you just jump on stage while tapping a and you aerial.

to shorthop double fair you can either get fast at short hop c stick using an ormal grip or learn to claw...i don't recommend not using the cstick for your fairs.

best way to practice marth when alone is to practice motions that are useful in comment short hop fair in place into retreating nair autocancel into dash away into dash back grab..

practice wavedashing and nairing out of shield.

waveland the platforms for an hour or two

jump off stage and practice angle'd sideways up b sweetspots

there's a bunch more but most if it's too difficult for someone who can't nair from the ledge yet..start with those

Just play your character, a lot. The more time you spend as Marth the more comfortable you'll be with him. You should know the ranges and tipper ranges of all your moves, and you should never fall short/go too high on recovery. Practice your CGs on spacies as well, it's slightly harder than it appears.
