Smash 3DS No smash 3DS category on twitch.tv.. C&D?

Did twitch get a cease and desist of some nature regarding smash 3ds? I used to be able to browse to smash 3DS in the categories section to pick out a stream to watch, but now only Brawl and Melee will come up.

Are you sure it's not just twitch messing up? Usually the link for Smash for 3ds works fine for me.

:edit: or at least it does when I click it from twitch, clicking the link there doesn't work. *shrug*
:edit again: if you click the link and then put a . at the end it works

There's a Super Smash Bros category, but it's NOT the same as the one that used to exist, Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS (which included 3DS cover art).

The Super Smash Bros right now is being awkwardly shared by Smash 64, 3DS, and Flash.

I'm curious too what happened to it.


There was something interesting though -- at one point, when I was searching for game categories, if I typed "su" then it would still look up Smash 3ds category for me and I could select it, but I would not be able to see it on the list of games being played online currently.

If I typed any more than "su" then it would not list Smash 3ds for me.

Now though, if i type even su it will not show up, and all 3ds streamers are using the Smash bros genre.

So I'm hoping it's a glitch or something being worked on?

Yeah, that says "Super Smash Bros.", which is the title of the game released for the N64 ages ago. I could've sworn "Super Smash Bros for 3DS" was there before. Maybe I imagined it, and that has always been the category, I dunno.

Without a Smash for 3DS category, naturally 3DS streams are populating the "Super Smash Bros." category.

EDIT: Ninja'ed, if I'm insane I'm not alone in it.

I followed the game after I searched for it like this and now it comes up in my following games directory as a cover-art-less (as in, just a blank white cover, not even the default Twitch one for games that don't have a cover in the directory) 0-viewer game, even though it does have 800 viewer streams when you click on it.

Very weird indeed. Hopefully Twitch get on top of it before the US launch. For now, though, we can just use the N64 category, I guess.

Yup, same thing happened to me but I think it's back up now.
