I don't know about you kids, but for some reason I feel like mentioning the lack of wavedashing and L-canceling on these boards is pretty much like hitting a hornet's nest with a stick. Pretty soon you're going to attract unwanted attention and there's gonna be nothing but trouble in the end.

I've gotten over it. As long as there are new advanced techniques, I'm good. Oh, and Stak is right about the overload of wavedashing topics. I've had enough.

I was a huge WD'er and really disappointed when i found air dodging could not be controlled. but when its all said and done we really wont need it.

I loved Smash64, as well as Melee before I found out about wavedashing. No, it's not needed, Brawl can be an awesome-tastic game without it.

However, it is/was my favorite part of Melee. It's what got me to like the game as much as I do (read: obsessed)... to be willing to drive outta state to tournaments and the like. It's so unique, so fluid... awesome.

Insufficient to quit smash, or to keep Brawl from being an awesome game, but there's still plenty'o'reason to be bummed.
