No name-tag when using the Ice Climbers?

When most people play against the Ice Climbers, their main objective is obvious: Kill Nana! So I was wondering, does playing IC without a name tag make it harder to distinguish between the human IC and the CPU IC? I know that when I go up against IC I go for the tagless climber, which is the non-human one. At the last tourney I went to I changed colors a lot and played without a tag but I couldn't tell if it helped. So what do you think?

Most people can easily distinguish them...because their colors are naturally contrasted. All of the 'main' Climbers (for me there is no main Climber ^_^) have a much brighter color than their counterpart. I doubt it would help.

I thought the "main" climber had a darker color. Well anyway that's what I always remember, but I don't know if my opponents remember that.

Well, I just thought it would be slightly more confusing.

Yeah, the main one is darker.

I've never really thought of the tag idea, and never really noticed it going against ice climbers, but i guess it can throw somebody off who's used to fighting ICs with a tag.

It's only a minor detail, but it could really stick out to someone.

yeah i like to use no tag and switch the colors (so nana is light blue and popo is red). if you desynch a lot they might not be able to tell who is who =]. but yea usually it is pretty obvious since nana is sucha n00b.

Good players know the colours so it might not matter. I know baby blue, red, orange and green are the main colours of Popo. I could be wrong since it's been over a year...

By the way, if you make the IC two certain colors, then the main IC becomes Nana instead of Popo (look at the hair difference when comparing the four colors; two of them have longer hair).

It might be harder for n00bs to distinguish the difference between the NPC and the player controlled if the one controlling the IC de-synchs.

Well...I know that a very few number players, when desynched, have no difference in ability between Nana and Popo. In that case, DemonicShadows is right, but like Red Exodus said most people know the colors (btw I was thinking that the foremost climber is more prominent, not necessary brighter).

Nah

Changing colors or not using a tag will not effect a player's ability to distinguish the main and secondary IC.

... I've tried ...:urg:
