Check it out, No Contest is now a bi-weekly event! What this means is we'll be splitting Melee and Project M into their own events, which allows us to have singles and doubles for the respective game EVERY tournament! This time we have Melee & Pokken on the table for you all.

At 7:00 any side event you guys want is open to be played. Want Wii U or Rivals of Aether? If there's enough interest, you bring setups and people to play, then we will run it for you! No competitive game is off the table as long as you can provide the setup for it!

If you can help us out by bringing a setup it would be much appreciated. We have plenty of room and more CRT's then we have our own setups for rn!

Schedule:
2:00 - Doors Open & Registration Begins
3:00 - Melee Doubles Registration Ends
5:00 - Melee Singles Registration Ends
5:00 - Pokken Tournament Registration Ends
7:00 - Side Events Can Begin
12:00 - Event Ends & Store Closes

Melee Ruleset
Melee functions off the Apex ruleset. I have no problem with this and never will consider any changes. Here's a link to the rules if you are unfamiliar: MELEE RULESET
Melee Stage List
Starters/Neutrals:
These stages are available all rounds but are the only ones available for round 1
-Yoshi’s Story
-Battlefield
-Final Destination
-Dream Land
-Fountain of Dreams (Singles only)
-Pokemon Stadium (Doubles only)

Counterpick:
These stages are available only after round 1 is complete
-Pokemon Stadium (Singles only)

Banned Stages:
This should be self explanatory.
-Don't feel like typing them all so let's just say everything else
If both players agree you can play on any stage you like. Just don't be salty if you lose on Poke Floats and you agreed to it.

Pokken Tournament Ruleset
We use a slightly altered Evo rule set for Pokken, along with a gentelemen's rule to set stage selection to Random if you choose. You can see the EVO ruleset HERE.

-Game version: US Nintendo WiiU
-Game Settings: LAN Mode, Skill=Off, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games
-Stage select set to Stadium
If both players agree you can play with random stage selection on but if Dark Colosseum is chosen they must back out and restart on a different stage. Just don't be salty if you lose on Magikarp Festival vs a rush-down character and you agreed to it.
-Loser of last match may change fighter Pokemon, the winner is character locked.
-Both players may change assist sets and cheer type between matches if they win or lose.

Final Words
If you are in the Charlotte area, or even the Carolinas in general, come on out, have some fun, and enjoy playing some smash. If anyone was there and wants to give me any constructive criticism please let me know. I am all ears and I want to make these tournaments the best possible experience for you guys.
If you have any questions or need any information feel free to message me on Smashboards or Frame Zero Gaming's Facebook page. Thanks everybody!
