Link X Zelda is superior to every other Zelda ship and I'm never going to change my mind on that.

Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword especially. The relationship between the two in Skyward Sword is really sweet, and their relationship in Spirit Tracks is just adorable.

(Dunno about Breath of the Wild, haven't gotten that far in the game yet.)

Ayy, Zebei. I'm all right, got to go to an anime convention few weeks ago which was a blast and I cosplayed as adult red from SuMo and even got interviewed which was neat. Outside of that, lately been working on my Nintendo Discord channel which has gotten rather large at 393 members.

And just well, enjoying the Switch! It's my favorite Nintendo console since Gamecube. I figured I'd poke around here on Smash Boards because I find ERA not too personable.

You know what really grinds my gears in Smash Bros fanfics, though?

Well, a handful of things do, actually, but some of them are more petty than others.

But one thing I don't feel like I'm wrong for being frustrated when reading is that every time Smash Bros characters end up in a "transported to earth" plot they end up so mystified and incompetent. Like, seriously now, this is a mishmash of medieval, modern, and sci-fi characters that usually in these plots are all used to each other and are from worlds where some pretty messed up stuff happens. I don't think they're going to be lost and definitely not fazed ending up in a world like ours. But that's always the end result. The logical dynamic here is that people in our world are confused by them, but instead they find people that are only momentarily confused at best and then proceed to act like morons.

Also I think OCs could be completely fine if they weren't A. often completely overloaded B. Often introduced unceremoniously with no time to get to know them and C. often given the personality of stale bread. With lots of overlap on the usual.

I keep thinking one of these days I'll make a fic that addresses a bunch of my pet peeves in Smash fics, but I never quite get around to it.
