Seriously even if you're asexual or aromantic. Dating is good. Being with other people in any capacity is amazing.

People are put on this planet to be loved in whatever way you choose to love them and it's probably one of the best feelings to love someone in my opinion.

I do not know if a girlfriend will like me, considering I act annoying...

let me get out of my vampire coffin to share my own thoughts here a bit, i don't think theres any problem with not dating, some people just don't have any attraction romantically or sexually to people, and ya even they can find love and stuff, but their much more patient and timeful with it and even then its a big ole if it even happens, and its honestly better to wait for one to come that ya like a fancy to, then trying just randomly just to for anything, if it happens cool if not, meh something to just let life blow for ya

For the record, I'm not sure how anyone "checks what they're attracted to" and I'm 50% worried that the method is something I'll regret hearing about.

I just know that be it in anime, on live television, in real life, only guys get a reaction. Although I'm still not psychologically ready to *cough* test it beyond looking at people fully clothed and seeing if I feel something.

And I mean, it's this crowd, I wouldn't be ashamed to admit if I had a thing for girls. But I just. . .don't. There's no spark. Sometimes I even reflect on that fact. Other people feel something for girls, why don't I? What's different, what's missing? But it's just. . .not my thing. There's a dozen more bizarre kinks I'd be more likely to discover that I'd be into if I dared to search for them, but it's just. . .I'm not bi or lesbian. And I don't get what's so attractive about women beyond nodding my head and going "yep that's what other people say they're into."

Honestly to me it's really really stressful

It can be. You're absolutely correct, I have social anxiety and absolutely agree. I spend a good time even with the people I love the most thinking they secretly despise me or I'm doing something to **** it all up.

But at the end of the day it's that very same love between me and my s/o, or me and my closest friends that calms that social anxiety for me. It's this weird vicious cycle.

As it stands, I'm perfectly content being single and dating is something I've never been all that interested in. My life's been pretty fine without ever being in a romantic relationship thus far.

One day (many years from now, however) I would like to settle down, but I'm just not looking for a relationship currently. I'd like to think I'll find the right girl someday, so I'm just waiting to see where life takes me in the relationship department at the moment. Of course I've found several women, real and fictional, to be attractive, before, I'm not gonna deny that. But, I've never felt true romantic feelings towards someone, so I don't know exactly how I'm gonna feel when that eventually does happen.
