Yeah I didn't expect him to become a party member.

The boss is one of the better fights too, I love the Situation Command against the meteor attack it does. Made me think of the badass cinematic commands from KH2.

nah this is pretty good.

The only thing that sticks or is the eyes but those are hard. It looks nice though

I suppose I'm a little late to this, but I now have time to give my thoughts on the Direct from Wednesday. I've been busy for most of the week, so I waited until I finally had some time.

-To start off, a sequel to Super Mario Maker isn't something that I expected, but I'm very glad to see that it's a thing. Nice to see that they finally added slopes, the addition of a 3D World theme is great (although I suppose it's more like 2D World, but . . .), and there are probably a lot more changes that I'm forgetting. I wasn't someone who made a lot of levels (as I'm not exactly the creative type), but I played quite a lot of levels on the original game.

-Nice to see that patch 3.0 is a thing. It is a shame that they aren't really showing us what it is, but hopefully we'll find out in a Smash Direct or something. I would have liked to see actual gameplay of Joker, but seeing his in-game model is good enough for me, since we didn't before. It would be nice to see something like Stage Builder or Home-Run Contest return, but I personally would love to see Boss Battles (that is, a dedicated Boss Rush mode like Brawl had) make a return.

-DQ Builders 2 looks interesting, but I'm not sure if I'll get it. The changes in the Switch version of DQ XI seem pretty cool. That being said, I already own the PS4 version of the game, so I don't think I'll get it.

-Yoshi's Crafted World looks fun, and I'm glad there's a demo for the game. I haven't played the demo yet though.

-I'm really excited for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The whole academy setting is pretty interesting in my opinion, and the world of the game seems interesting. I feel like Byleth will be more like Mark than like Robin or Corrin, as far as Avatar characters are concerned. That said, I wish we knew a little more about it. It's a shame that it got delayed, considering it was supposed to originally come out next year, but I'm glad we have an exact date. If I'm correct, it'll come out less than 2 weeks before my birthday, so that's neat.

-Tetris 99 looks like a lot of fun, and I honestly can't say I expected us to get a Tetris Battle Royal game.

-Cool to see Deltarune on the Switch, but I suppose I should probably play Undertale before it.

-I'm glad that FF7 and FF9 have release dates. It's nice that FF9 will release before FF7, considering it doesn't get quite as much love. I don't think I'll get these versions right away, since I've already played both of them fairly recently.

-Astral Chain looks pretty cool, but I'm not really sure if it's something that's really for me yet.

-Despite what leaks were saying, I wasn't expecting a Link's Awakening remake to be shown off. As someone who never played either the original or DX version of Link's Awakening(I've seen playthroughs of it though), I'm really looking forward to trying it out. Some people don't like the art style, but I think it looks pretty charming. Inb4 it'll be the next Wind Waker where the art style will recieve mixed reception at first but after a few years people will love the art style.

Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Personally, I'm quite excited for Super Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the Link's Awakening remake.
