Bakugo is an antagonist right now because he's a direct obstacle and rival of Deku, the protagonist.

"...is hostile to someone or something; an adversary." Sounds like Bakugo. "Actively opposes" sounds like Bakugo. And OH LOOK, he's the key rival to our main hero Deku. The definition fits.

Even if he changes in later seasons, he IS a freaking antagonist in season 1. So by saying "lol HNC thinks Bakugo is an antagonist" that pisses me off because 1.) you're acting like I'm some kind of idiot and snarking about what I said and acting like Bakugo is somehow not an antagonist when my opinion is valid, and on another note 2.) You're wrong. So back off.

I apologize for my comment, it was meant as a joke that didn't come off well (I was pretty tired when I made it).

Yeah uhh these are MHA spoilers for the whole anime, spoiler tag is bugging out for me so:

During that arc I knew that character wise it would make no sense for Bakugo to join the League, just by looking at his ambitions and personality. He's a **** at times sure, but that doesn't suddenly translate into villainy like some seemed to suggest. Sasuke was a completely different situation, in fact the character similarities begin and end at "cocky rival." Don't get why people would compare the two. Still, I was relieved when they finally revealed his choice.

My favorite episode and what cemented Bakugo and Deku as my favorite characters was when he confronted him about One for All. It's that one moment where he just vents all of his frustrations of not living up to his own standards and admitting that he feels as if he ruined All Might by being the reason he fought All For One that blew me away, that episode legit almost brought me to tears. I personally hadn't even thought of the effect that All Might's retirement had on Bakugo since we were so focused on Deku for so long, and I certainly didn't expect that he would feel as if it was his fault. Bakugo respects and idolizes All Might so much, because he is the shining standard for what a hero should be. To not only not meet these lofty standards, but to also ruin the one man that essentially started him on his path? It's no wonder he explodes the way he does.

And most of all, I identified with this character that was so different from me personality-wise That feeling of having the highest standards for yourself because that's just what you've always been used to, what you expected of yourself, and then not meeting them at all just resonated with me so damn hard.

Also helps that their fight afterwards was so good.

Also I just wanna say, my life's been kind of a mess very recently but you guys are a real nice break from all that. Keep doing you.

That fight is the moment I mentioned that brings Bakugou into sharp relief, you finally get to truly understand his character and why he acts the way he does.

Also, that flashback they show of Deku and Bakugou watching All Might together during the fact really shows off their different perspectives on the hero, to Deku, All Might is a person who always saves people, to Bakugou, All Might always wins. Neither are wrong, but they both paint an incomplete picture, as All Might himself points out.

Aw, no Ranulf.

Surprised to see that they included both Herons from PoR, I figured they'd spread those two out since Reyson is popular and Leanne would make for a good follow-up dancer later on. Either way, it's still good to see them and I wouldn't mind getting either one for my flying dancer. As for Tibarn and Nailah, they both look good, though Tibarn's A skill scares the hell out of me, I hope they ban it from Armors and a certain blue mage.

Also, Naesala looks to be our next GHB, which is a good choice since this is primarily a Bird tribe banner.
