Hey I just want one of my top 5 ****ing added to Smash after over 10 years. So when there’s a leak saying they’re happening let me have this.

There’s a Dragon Quest thing happening in Japan tomorrow and allegedly Erdrick is gonna be revealed as playable like how Joker was confirmed at the VGA.

I mean announcing the characters before official gameplay actually isn’t a bad strategy now that I think of it. That fans will automatically line up to buy the character they won’t and f your not a fan then gameplay down the line could sell you.

Now the joker model leak is most likely tied to another leaker who had eldrick on his list. They said they would provide the model and the model pic surfaced online and looks convincing. Which doesn’t mean it’s real but it could be.

So I guess I can see why people could see him shown here. They broke conventions by revealing dlc outside of their own event so maybe now a character reveal can show up anywhere. I don’t know if I see that happening but we will know soon enough I suppose.


Either way Nintendo should realize they could announce another character anywhere and it will still blow up.

Honestly they should reveal the 5 dlc characters before Pirahna Plant is released.

I mean, in my case, I wanted Young Link back since he got cut and Incineroar is one of my favorite Pokemon period.

Piranha Plant looks cool but definitely wouldn't say he got me hyped, just thought he was neat. I'll probably have a similar reaction to a playable Slime.

But I can also see why a DQ protag ain't appealing to everyone, and to some especially after we just got another JRPG dude as a playable character in a game where people were complaining about JRPG representation since the last one came out.

Suddenly Im rooting for DQ reps.

The "sex appeal" based characters / monsters have a move that vaguely uses their boobs in some way to cause a status effect. Uh, some guys can do it too but I think it just damages people.

It's a Toriyama gag from Dragon Ball, actually (iirc).

The DQ series weaponizes fanservice and I unashamedly love that... mostly because I find it hilarious that anyone could actually get their rocks off of something being played straight for the sake of comedy haha

I also don't find fanservice in general bad when it's balanced out. I get as annoyed as the next guy when it's super senran-kagura-ish though lmao... though I do think Tharja is okay. Camilla not so much though........
