TL;DR

1. Guy is like "Hohoho~ I have the demo ;) "
2. People ask him for proof
3. His proof is footage from tournaments
4. Turns out he is transphobic and a gamergater apparently!
5. Thread gets locked and posts deleted of all the people discontent with him.

I ignore the site for like an hour, and so much has happened.

1. Ura Ura got BTFO on post count.
2. Some fake demo leak happened.
3. ALL THE WARRIORS came back for a sec.
4. The leak immidately was proven false.
5. The dude pissed off more people than I thought he would.

That about cover it?

So uh, how are you guys/gals gonna buy Ultimate? Physical or digital regular? Special edition?

I think I'll just go with the physical regular edition. While having Smash at all times as a download would be convenient, it's quite hefty on storage and there's just a novelty to having a box case on your shelf and inserting a disc/cartridge into your system.

Also, the Special Edition comes with the Smash Ultimate Pro Controller and I can guarantee that the white rubber on the handles will look super gross after all of the sweat and oils over the years lol. I wish that the steelbook was separate.

I’m gonna hope and pray that I can get a physical copy day 1... and then probably inevitably buy it digital.

I will preorder the digital version so that I can pre download and play it opening night without having to go to Gamestop, and then later delete it since it takes so much space, and buy a physical copy.

Physical.

Not only because I'm sure the game would have a ton of memory is digital but also because there's something nostalgic about going out, waiting for a game inside a car until the local Wal-Mart opens. Especially when it's ****ing cold outside.

If I hear "Dragalia Lost guy" for Smash even once, I am personally going to travel through space and time to smack you in the head.

Feel like there's a direct for everything except Nintendo games lol. Well, Smash is one but I kinda wanna see more than just Smash since e3 was all about Smash.

I'm most definitely gonna go physical, and I may even get that Special Edition. I already pre-ordered the Gamecube controller and the adapter.

This of course means that I'll get the game a few days late because of work, but oh well

Physical. Digital would be nice since then it's always ready to play but I like having the case.

There's no special edition confirmed for Australia yet, so I had to order the game, adapter and GC controller separately. I do already have the adapter and GC controller from Smash 4, but having another adapter would be good for 8-player Smash and the new GC controller is slightly different, so totally justifiable from a crazy Smash fan perspective.

If the Smash Pro controller comes here, I'd like to get it. Not sure how much I'd use it for Smash but you know, big Smash fan, gotta have.

So Ninty starts a new IP (what I'm assuming Dragalia Lost is) and it's Mobile only?

Interesting. I am a sucker for any and all Nintendo RPGs so I hope it's good.

inb4 DRAGALIA LOST CHARACTER CONFIRMED FOR SMASH BECAUSE DIRECT IS COMING

Also I'm getting Smash Ultimate digital. It's the middle of winter in the harsh lands of Canadurr so I'm not braving the drive to the next town over at midnight for launch.

Damn, they're really pulling out all of the stops for August: Smash Direct, Gamescon, Nindies, and now info on the mobile game that came out of nowhere. I'm interested to see what this actually is.

I rarely ever get digital copies of anything on my consoles. Unless it's something like an Indie game or Virtual Console from the shop.

If it's a new game, I'll usually be getting the physical copy.

I'll get a physical or snag one of those boxes that have the game, adapter, and GCN along with it. I can probably do by with the standard joycons for a while, but I'll switch eventually.

What in the name of J. Jonah Jameson is a Dragalia?

I'm also somewhat surprised that this is getting a large international release, I was expecting it to be primarily Japanese at first. It'd be impressive if it could get simultaneous worldwide updates like FEH.

Whenever I get a Switch, I'd want the physical copy. I almost always get the physical copy of a game. Unless it's download only.
