whelp first thing done is tackling the newest epidemic we have, the flu, half the colony is infected afterall, shiny is this time so androobie took over healing everyone, progress once again halted badly on the home front sadly
not much to say other then dealing with a half ******** colony over feeling bad, and dealing with more and more mood breaks because of it, moral in the whole colony really took to the low end, uni also got back at noon to drop off his silver and went to get treatment
only interesting thing to say that happened the first day was a boomalope
it went man hunter and decided to chase me down got pretty close to but a well place shot took off its head
so we went into the night without problem
ooooooooo pirate merchants~ these guys are friendly and they sell more illegal goods, drugs, exotics, body parts, and occasionally slaves
though not much on these guys, just some drugs we had no use for but they did have a cougar! and they were willing to buy our birb off us, so we traded teh birb and 700 silver for that giant cat, its not a domestic cat lily but hey, i finally got ya a cat! and it murders people too
heh, poor red, ya kicked the plauges ass and ya avoided the flu, but ya couldn't run from food poisoning
speaking of sickness no need to worry about anyone, even uni is kicking his flus ass, its just crippling productivity really, we'll all be perfectly fine in a few days no threat of death here
oh great a solar flare happened, so everything is kinda shut off, lasted about a half a day not bad at all just dark
not much still happened anyway, when everyones sick and moody ya don't really get much work done

...okay...sooooooo a horde of man hunting snakes just came through the area, snakes when enemys are bad news, theres worse animals yes, but snakes can poison and in a few bites and render a limb obselete, if they also bite lucky they can just kill a person straight up instead of giving them toxicity, 1 snake isn't bad, theres 17 of these ******** here
and they headed straight for us traveling super fast
the good news...we didn't even fought them we stayed inside dealing with the flu instead of these snakey ********
the bad news, the pirate merchants took the whole blow of them
they smashed into them who were standing outside for the morning, and they just tore a few unprepared people apart limb by limb
it was ****ing nasty...praline tried to go out there a few times even spreading shots from the doorway to help a few of them, but for the most part i didn't let anyone go outside
it was a freakin blood bath, nearlyl the whole caravan is wounded, several friendly fires, a lot of downed people and dead, it was quite ugly, i'm so glad they were there so we didn't have to deal with this **** someone, someone was not living through this if we had to take on those snakes
the survivors who lived through this decided to instantly pack up and get out of here, no longer wanting to trade with us but not hostile
anyone who lived but couldn't get away we took in to heal on up
all three of them were bleeding out fast so i just did my best to heal them up, all three of them should live should. this poor women here had a snake eat her eye right on out of her while she was alive...oof
anyway as soon as they could walk they left as fast as possible...which was very slow, their still on the map when i closed the game, they didn't even say thanks or anything, they just took on up and left crawling out the door, ungratful jerks we even used our dwilndling medical supplies on them
the dead andd the down left behind a lotta supplies that we uh "looted" the caravan ditched them and no one else wanted them so we took them
we also burried the dead in the graveyard, no point to have them stink up, and we got about to butchering and storing the snakes meat and leather, got plently of snake skin from it so thats cool
though uh the fraction who owned that caravan were not too happy with us essentially using their caravan as meat shields to take all those man hunting snakes, we lost a lotta favor with them and i doubt they will be sending any more caravans our way, we'll need to grease some palms later
but for the most part, that was one hell of a scary crisis that got averted by sheer luck and sacrificing guest, i'm gonna sleep happy none of us are in danger
