You can't just say I dislike anime style, because there's a lot of ways you can animate someting.

Charcters with more 2D cartoonish look, or big eyes in general counts as anime, at least that's what I think. But then again yeah realistic ones like Jojo counts as anime too lol.

And that's why I said you probably just aren't a fan of Saitou's design lol.

I just don't find the art that appealing for a game unless its something shonen related (then again most shonen dont use that type of artstyle if not just minimal amounts of it)

You might already know this, Shonen technically is just a term for an age class of manga... Shonen are mostly targeted for audiences that are 12-18. XC stories are actually inspired by those Shonen mangas but more better and doesn't fall into those Shonen cliches. And then you have Seinen manga (My current fav manga type) where technically they are more of mature mangas but they aren't explicit and are mostly ok for audiences that are 15 and up.

Moreoever, you can't use design look to determine which is Shonen and which is Seinen, take your Jojo for example, it's actually both base on its content and the meta series of Jojo while it has more realistic look... sometimes

We know that One Peice, MHA, and DBZ are Shonen but for others like AoT and OPM, definitely Seinen yet they all have that anime design. You then have the anime of 2017 Made In Abyss, from the outside it looks like a kiddy adventure manga/anime... but the contents in the manga... will leave you trauma if you take it that way...

And while I never take the designs that seriously, I have t be honest here I prefer more anime style RPGs compare to realistic ones. Not only because they look better for me at least, characters have more expression. So while is okay for some (especially western gamers like you and most people here) to prefer realistic designs. For me I'm okay with both, but I will usually prefer more big eye and anime style.

• Meh when it comes to XC, I cring when looking at XCX (The music ROCKS though, I love Sawano's music)

• Final Fantasy: Which one bro?LOL There's like 15 of them in the main series. I personally ok with the most, except 13... and 15...
• Bravely, okay we got something agreed here lol
• Ocotpath Traveler, same
• Fire Emblem [Insert Nick Young Confusing Face here], more confusing if you are ok with Awakening, Fates, and especially Heros. I... am kind of annoyed by this FE DD standard when you aren't a fan of most of the not realistic designs but oaky with FE, and not just you I know there's a lot... while I know this is normal but just bother me a bit lol.
• Baten Kaitos, I don't know much about the game so no comment lol. I can only say the game looks rad

Now to your not-your-jams, again, just my opinions:

• *vomiting noises when I see redesign Shulk*

  ... I highly recommend you to see a doctor because you might have more issues than not liking XC2 designs (Half joking here lol, sorry) Because I sure don't when look at redesign Shulk or... XC2? You know these are basically the same thing right?lol
• Neptunia, ack... I wasn't a fan of the series in general though... and it's not because of the designs, just don't find their games appealing to me.

So yeah, I personally think your taking your dis-likeness of XC2's design a bit way too extreme lol... actually, sorry I take that back. While okay not everyone will prefer XC2 design but for me XC2 design is the best, but do I think XC HD remake will be Saitou in charge of the designs? I actually don't think so, but I'm sure the designs will probably lean more of the anime/non-realistic taste, but hey we will never know.
