The Fate/Grand Order 1st Anniversary Expo event just took place a few hours ago. Here are the updates that were revealed from it:

-Fate/Grand Order Duel, the trading figure game, will be releasing in America this August! The second F/GO Duel set releases the next month after.
-The 1st anniversary festival began right after the stream.

So what does this 1st anniversary festival entail? Here's the breakdown:
  1. A login bonus that gives you a bunch of good stuff. For the first day, they give you a total of 10 Saint Quartz!
  2. You can obtain a special anniversary Craft Essence from a special quest
  3. 3x more likely to get a Super & Great Successes when training, and there are 1/2 AP on daily quests
  4. 14 new Strengthening Quests
  5. More bonus Saint Quartz are given to you whenever you buy Saint Quartz from the shop.
  6. A new Da Vinci banner that will allow you to pull for Da Vinci from now until July 11
  7. From July 11 until July 16, there will be a banner for each of the Singularities released so far up until the North America one; each day hosts a different banner for each singularity.
And now for the real treat about the Anniversary Event, and it begins today for that matter: Two-special banners where you guaranteed to pull a 5-star servant, but you can only use paid Saint Quartz!

These banners are split up by 2 groups of 4 classes: one 5-star banner will guarantee you a 5-star servant from either the Saber, Lancer, Archer, or Ruler classes, and the other will guarantee you a 5-star servant from either the Caster, Rider, Assassin, or Berserker classes. The catch about these guaranteed 5-star banners is that you can only pull from one of them, and it is a one-time deal only. In other words, if you pull from the 5-star Saber/Archer/Lancer/Ruler banner, you won't be able to pull from it again, nor will you be able to pull from the Caster/Rider/Assassin/Berserker banner. The same applies for vice versa. Choose wisely!

The amount of Saint Quartz you want to buy is the one that costs $39.99: this will give you at least 30 paid Saint Quartz so that you can give the guaranteed 5-star banner a go.

For my summoning session with the guaranteed 5-star banner, I used the $50 gift card that I got as a graduation gift to buy me the paid Saint Quartz necessary for the event. I decided to pull from the Caster/Rider/Assassin/Berserker banner because it's the banner that has all of the 5-star servants I want: Ozymandias, Waver, Xuanzang, Cu Chulainn Alter, and especially Tamamo! I wasn't interested in pulling any of the 5-star servants from the Saber/Archer/Lancer/Ruler banner, so there was that as well.

On the 6th summon during the session, the screen started to glitter. A 5-star servant was coming. I then saw it was the Caster card! I was jumping up and down: the banner blessed me with my guaranteed 5-star from the class I was aiming for! The 5-star Caster I got turned out to be...








I PULLED XUANZANG!!!

She was among my most wanted 5-star servants! Although I'd prefer pulling Waver or Tamamo for my 5-star Casters instead (for both utility and character likability reasons), I'm glad Xuanzang responded to my summoning call! I tried to pull her during the Journey to the West banner but to no avail, and now, I finally have her! I also really like her character as well, so that makes another reason why I was quite happy to pull Xuanzang!

With her on the team, I now have a servant that will be useful for dealing with those high-HP Assassin-class bosses!

I should also mention that when I gave her the three Blazes of Wisdom that I received from the daily rewards this week, she got a Great Success for her 1st level up, so at the time of this post, she is now at Level 25! It looks like Xuanzang really did bring me the Buddha's blessing during the course of this day in Fate/Grand Order.

I'll be working on grinding up Xuanzang over the next few days.

As for my other pulls, I pulled from my first Caster Cu Chulainn since the game began (the only other one I had was the free one for completing the Fuyuki Singularity). I also pulled my first Fuuma Kotaro, who I heard is one of the best 3-star servants at the moment. I also pulled my third Tamamo Cat, which means my Tamamo Cat now has NP3!

AYE, Lyon did it! He won the Voting Gauntlet!



We did it, fellow Team Lyon teammates! Best boy prevailed!

I'm really happy about this win. Not only did my favorite FE villain and one of my favorite FE characters win, this is also the first time I've been on the winning team for an entire Voting Gauntlet!

And good game to the Team Hardin members for their hard work too! That was quite an epic final battle!

Well Mythra Mythra , you were right here: Konnie once again proves himself to be indestructible. And trust me: I've heard of his tales of surviving all sorts of stuff, but now he's survived a direct hit from a firework.

Still, I'm glad he'll be okay at the end of the day. As for the people that did this, I hope they are brought to justice.
