-*still won't increase our pay despite the increase in minimum wage and the price of everything going up because of it*

I had a lot of those over the last few months.

Here's one of my favourites.

I was working at a large toys and video games retailer for a while over the Christmas period and despite being hired for the video game department, the manager moved me to the regular toys tills on the basis that my "customer service was poor" and working on the toys tills would somehow improve that. The only reason I ever had any problems was because of a combination of insufficient training (for example, the manager promised I'd be given a tour of the premises on the first day yet I never received one, I had to figure out where everything was on my own), and because despite being at the video game department, customers were allowed to bring other kinds of products to our department to check out, so most of the time I wasn't selling video games. Even so, I still helped customers out to the best of my ability, even dealing with very odd requests in a short time. Oh, and after moving to the toys tills, they put a sign up at the video game tills saying "Video game sales only". Neat.

But there was this one day at the toys tills that I'll never forget. Two customers were asking for two sizes of the same bike. They were pretty friendly and pleasant to do business with. The bikes had to be retrieved from the warehouse, but there was nobody on the floor I could ask to do it, and I was getting no responses on the walky-talky. So rather than sit there and do nothing, I told the customers to give me a few minutes to go get the bikes for them. They weren't in any rush or anything and wanted to look around a bit anyway so it was all good. The bikes were stored in the upper part of the warehouse, which I had never been to before, and it was pretty large so it took me a few minutes, but I did eventually find both of the requested sizes of the bike hidden away. I started bringing one of them down since trying to carry two of them would have been reckless and in violation of health and safety regulations, but I was lucky enough to run into a co-worker finally on my way down. I asked him to go pick up the other bike and he had no problem with that. So we got the two bikes to the customers and they were very happy.

Then the manager comes out of nowhere and starts giving out to me in front of the whole shop floor saying that I'm not supposed to leave the till when it's busy (bear in mind I'm not the ONLY till customers can use, the other cashiers were handling the customers just fine in the time I was away) and that I should have asked someone to get the bikes for me, even though I did try to get someone to do it for me. After she was done huffing and puffing she finally walked off and then the customers I was getting the bikes for said "Is she like the Wicked Witch of the West or something?". And then we had some small talk as I continued doing everything I needed to get the bikes processed and paid for (there's a few extra steps involved with bikes compared to just scanning a toy in). And they once again thanked me, this time by name.

I was already at a point of being fed up with the manager and her antics, so that was pretty gratifying.

I never realized how many Poison-Type Pokémon there were in the first generation.

So I defeated Misty. My entire team had to put in effort because Misty got some lucky RNG on confusion on Crobat and Arbok. Nidoking got curb stomped by Lapras and I had to sacrifice Venonat just to get Ivysaur out of confusion. Ivysaur once again was the MVP of the fight.
