Oh damn.

The YouTube videos for Legendary Lyn's banner (both the English and Japanese versions) are the most disliked of the new banner videos. As of now the English version is basically 1/3 dislikes, which is incredibly high.

People aren't happy.

Totally understandable. Even if Lyn is my favorite character in the franchise, it's obvious we have too many of her. And it's not only the fact that it's her, but rather she doesn't seem unique. Like, look at her art and compare it to Brave Lyn, it's the exact same but by different artists. She uses Mulagir like her brave version, and the only difference is that she isn't on a horse. And yet after so many alts, none of the Lyns use the Mani Katti, which I find so stupid.

And even then, it's a problem from IS altogether having all the alts nonsense we've been having. From my understanding the units that are releasing right now were planned during end of 2017 (because of new Hinoka's art having copyright from 2017), so we can expect this trend to keep happening for a couple of banners more. And to be fair, Lyn is probably the legendary hero just because it's FE7 anniversary, and she's the wind representative of the lord trio, so she was planned for a long time to appear.

And then there is the fact than some characters desperately need alts but they still don't have. The most obvious choice is Marth and it has so many memes about him... I'll just have this one for example

So yeah, I'm conflicted with this Lyn because I love her but I can see the problems with her inclusion. I think Intelligent Systems should just drop the alt thing and make alts only for seasonal banners. I'll miss some really good alts (I love Chrom's one for example), but Fire Emblem has so many characters than getting different variants of them before most of the games are properly represented it's really bad in my eyes. Even legendary heroes doesn't have to be variants, Athos would have been a great non-alt legendary hero, and would totally deserve that title.

The only thing I want is people to not hate Lyn for this... It just seems that IS is pushing her really hard just because she's so popular, and we know that being the popular one makes it easier for people to hate her. Watch how we get Summer Lyn, Halloween Lyn, Christmas Lyn and Spring Lyn and set everything on fire

But yeah, the popularity thing doesn't help when you have how infamous Brave Lyn is. And the fact that it was Fire Emblem 7's 15th anniversary a couple days ago won't stop that. Poor Lyn.

It's very usable. Basically, Ayra's ATK and SPD are unhindered, which is a good thing. So yeah, +RES, -HP isn't "the best" for Ayra, but she is far more usable compared to -ATK or -SPD.

I realize that but they can only have like 3 attacks in pokemon go and of ALL the attacks rhydon can learn they picked surf

Edit: The only advantage to Rhydon having surf over any of his other attacks I can see would be if he's fighting a ground type that's trying to take advantage against his rock type.

Though most people would use a water or grass to get that 4x weakness and surf is useless against that

I think Crash is a textbook case of the classic "NEW GAME ANNOUNCED = SMASH CHARACTER CONFIRMED!" theories that are always rampant. That and third parties are a lot harder to predict this time around, in comparison to last time (Mega Man's been demanded since Brawl and Pac-Man was pretty much guaranteed the second we learned Namco was involved in Smash 4's development). And then, while Cloud himself was a surprise, I think a Final Fantasy rep would've been seen as a given, eventually.

It happened a LOT during Smash 4's speculation. Like there was one guy with a really bad fake leak that nobody believed, that had a mode called "Smash World" in his leak, and then by sheer luck, an audio file of the announcer saying "Smash World!" was found in the 3DS version's files and caused his leak to get some brief notoriety.

Text leaks should pretty much always be viewed as being fake until something happens that lines up with the leak.

And even if that happens, they should still be taken with a grain of salt. Plenty of fakes end up getting something major right (like, something nobody saw coming).

For as unpredictable as Sakurai seems to be, there's lots of instances where he's been completely predictable.

I actually think it’s pretty obvious crash will join. Not because of the port and new game(although they may have made Sakurai more aware) but because he was big in the industry when he appeared bd is the last big gaming icon imo. Sonic Mario, pac man, all were big characters for an era or more of gaming. However crash arose and was actually beating them all out for competition and it was considered the battle of the company’s. So while he may have faded away for awhile, I think crash still had a meaningful enough impact in the gaming industry as he represented a change from old school to new tech and what it offered. He is decently likely imo due to these factors. But that’s just my personal thoughts.
