In the end game and post-game, all of the plot important characters who normally don't actually die when they fall in Classic Mode (Tobin, Gray, Clair, Mae, Boey, Saber, etc) will now actually die if they are defeated in combat.

It's a really nice attention to detail, but I also got careless with Clair earlier and saw her death quote and it had me like...

This is one of the best announcements I've seen in a while. Throughout my high school years, SSF2 was in constant development, and it was awesome seeing all of the different changes McLeod was making to the game.

I now am mostly finished with college, and the final product is finally here. I am SO happy I can't wait to try this out later! Thanks, McLeod gaming.

Last time I played, my "main" was Ness...I wonder if that'll change once I get to play the finished product.

The thing that makes me most hyped about SSF2 is that Sandbag mini-game. We need that in official Smash, we need a ton of multiplayer mini-games in smash. I could see some sort of volleyball game mode being insanely fun.

i dont know why but knowing what we know about sakurais work ethic i just dont think a port of smash 4 switch would have limited content added, i eman if sakurai isnt working on it then i can see that, but if he is id imagine hed go at it adding in everything he could that he wasnt able to previously

Yeah my gut instinct is that a port with limited new content doesn't follow Sakurais pattern (I discussed it waaaaay back on SG in an article called "Case for Smash NX"). He's all about adding value. Look at Kirby Super Star for example. There is so much content in it. So if there are a limited number characters, I'd expect some additional modes.

Lol Smogon just banned Baton pass.. Apparently their former restriction wasn't enough somehow.. I'm honestly confused on how it wasn't enough.. Scolipede can't have speed boost with swords dance and Baton pass, Quiver dance and Baton pass was illegal by the no speed and another stat. The only way you could get around it is give speed to a Pokémon pass the speed to another then SD taking a few hits in the process and then there is also whether or not the Pokémon they used has priority.. I honestly don't agree with this decision..

I just started Chapter 9.

I have no idea why I didn't start trying the Assembly until last night. It feels kind of satisfying to use, LOL.

It's got the same kind of "sit back and level grind if you want to" niche in my gaming pool so far that Fire Emblem lets me have, but the pacing of gameplay is a bit more brisk. I think I might actually like playing it a bit better than FE so far. Granted this is coming from someone who doesn't really bother playing anything at any kind of difficulty.

Oh, and of course the humor's on point. Item World sends you gosh knows where between floors once in a while and it's beautiful. One time I had no idea where I'd ended up and I accidentally robbed a bank. Just kind of awkwardly left that floor after that, LOL.

I'm feeling tempted to buy the FE Echoes Season Pass.

I just want more of this game but it's so damn pricey.

And buying just one pack (Alm Overclass is the main thing I want immediately because having him already maxed out is underwhelming) will feel like a waste because I know I'll at least want Rise of the Deliverance and the Cipher Pack once I beat post-game.

Don't know the full details but Kazuya gets a new Devil form at the end of the story and Heihachi dies. The "to be continued" wasn't literal but the story definitely sets itself for some sort of continuation.

Kazuya gets a new devil form? Sounds interesting. I bet it resembles Kazumi's.

Heihachi dying is surprising considering he is the face of Tekken, but then again, it's not like past fighting games did the same with their series' mascots (BlazBlue CentralFiction killing off Ragna in the Story Mode comes to mind).
