If you don't know how to pump gas, than you shouldn't be driving. That's how it is here. Its a very simplistic thing to do, and the thought that they have regulations on who pumps the gas in certain places blows my mind. Like what the hell happened that forced a restriction of something like this?
There's literally no downsides to having the staff pump it for you: it's more safe, more practical and faster, and also creates more jobs.
Technically, the only one who loses is the owner of the gas station, by having to pay more workers, but no one is going to complain about taking some more money from them.

Its not about it being a downside. I understand the perks to it. Its the fact that some places outright outlaw self pumping gas. No matter how you look at it, its nonsense, and their arguments about it being hard is about the biggest cup of tears I've ever had to drink.

It's already been mentioned here: because there's the possibility of people blowing everything up.

In one week I can change my username. It would be cool to return to the 'Mandala' name, but I don't want a random dude making an account with the name of the Waifu Most Luminous just to do 24 posts and then disappear forever. :023:

I am going to say this but they need to stop making water bottles out of plastic and they should learn not to steal water from other people. I mean plastic water bottles are not good for you, so I say a change should happen. Plastic harms the environment.

Look, we're speaking from two different worlds here. If that was even remotely an issue, then it would of been outlawed here as well. The idea of it being outlawed just sounds like paranoia. At least it has its perks. But personally, I'm glad I can pump my own gas. I don't want some sweaty teenager touching my car.

Meanwhile this dude doesn't give a **** either way.

Bruh, there's post on r/cars about a dude who pumped Diesel on his Pontiac by mistake, apparently he's from Oregon lol.
EDIT: Dude's from Missouri

I hope this is not serious because it sounds petty as hell

Hey, can I ask you something, buddy?
Yes, what is it?

Saying its hard to pump gas is petty as hell.

And no, I wasn't being entirely serious. Although yes, I'd rather pump my own gas.
No one here is arguing whether it's hard or not though.

Could you, uhm, P E R I S H as punishment for those puns, please?

That is why we must stop using gasoline and switch to electricity so our environment is safe. Electricity that does not need fossil fuels. No fossil fuels.

Bruh it's New Jersey

Everything is ****ed up.
Well New Jersey is very expensive ( like extremely ), but it does have a nice education system. I know about NJ pretty well and what is around me. If one thing about NJ is it is extremely dense, probably one of the most dense places in the world. I am having a good life.
What? I think electricity can require fossil fuels, but they are finding new ways by wind power or water power. mean people need to learn to stop using fossil fueled - cars. They can make a huge sale on electric cars so the poor can buy them? We need to keep our environment safe and healthy. This switch might be very difficult to overcome, but hopefully we can to keep our environment safe!
very serious and legit question, can Electric cars start eletrical fires?
Electrical vehicle fires are much more rare than fossil fuel vehicle fires, according to this site.

If I'm being honest.

I think you need some confidence and to relax. You can come off a little needy and clingy and too eager to please at times.

This is a gaming forum. Don't need to act like you're stepping on eggshells. Just have fun with it.

Just have some fun with it all man. :)
You are right, thank you for telling me that.
I think I am being too impulsive lately, I really need to calm myself.
Congrats, @Megadoomer and @Fuzzy Pickles! On your modship!
I said that on their new profile pictures, hopefully they read my messages!
I finally surpassed 2000 points for Mario Kart 8.
Nice job! Surpassing two thousand points start a lot!
Nice to see @Cyndane lurking in this thread!

It's a shame that since I've wasted so much time on TV Tropes, I have already read most of the interesting Trope oages.
I need to consume more useless knowledge.
I will eat my own *** if Smash Switch gets announced next Direct.
I'll want it filmed. You'll break your spine but at least you won't break your promise

Holding you to this.

You better hope the Direct comes and goes without any mention of Smash. Otherwise you're in for the most painful experience of your life.

So many people are going to be impulsive and spam "Smash 5 oh yeah!" or "Yes this character is in" or "NO I wanted this character" without looking at the rules. If this happens, I wish the best for you moderators and co-moderators.

Just came back from Star Wars: the Last Jedi.

I personally enjoyed it.

Opening sequence with Poe and the Resistance fighters taking down that First Order dreadnought was pretty cool. Pretty shocking the First Order still managed to track them down even after the Resistance fled through hyper space.

It was surprising to see Luke be a self-loathing man who kept shoving away Rey at first (I expected he would be teaching her from the get-go), but as the movie went on, I liked the explanation as to why he acted that way. Turns out he tried to murder Kylo back when he was still training to be a Jedi, and Kylo got so enraged with that he killed the Jedi Orders students + destroyed the Jedi temple out of vengeance. Just as it seemed we should throw our hate onto Luke, we learn the reason was that Luke did so was because he could sense Snoke already corrupted Kylo by then. There's definitely some moral grayness going on with Luke's decisions as told in the flashbacks and how it affected him to what he was early into the film.

That one scene with Rey touching the crystal reflection made me think we would finally see who Rey's parents are, especially when those two shadows started to show up, but then the two shadows merged to reveal another Rey reflection. Guess that reflection cave was set up to fail Rey's expectations of what she wanted to see, just like how the central theme of Last Jedi is how many things seemingly turned to failure.

Later on, according to Kylo Ren, we learn Rey's parents are just random nobodies who only abandoned and sold off their daughter just to get more money. I don't know why, but I can already feel the conspirators making up theories that Kylo is just lying about it just because this is something that is only told and not shown. I think I'll just take Kylo's words as face value for now, but I guess I should also be prepared to be shocked if Kylo turns out to be twisting words around just to get Rey to join him.

And speaking of Kylo and Rey, I found it interesting that the two were able to communicate telepathically with each other, but I liked seeing their interactions just to make things feel more personal between the two. Then we learn those telepathic conversations were just set up by Snoke just as a ploy to learn more about Luke and try to destroy him.

As for the confrontation with Snoke... well then. Let me just say I was caught off-guard that Snoke was killed off in the middle of the film. I was expecting him to be the final villain that Rey would have to defeat at the end of Episode IX (since, you know, he's the Dark Lord), but then he gets backstabbed in a pretty cool way by Kylo (Anankin's Skywalker activating to turn to the side and stab Snoke in a position that his upper torso was cut off from the rest of his body). I gotta admit hand it to the movie: that's a nice way to catch the viewers by surprise. I still wonder if we will learn more about Snoke in the next movie, because I think there's still some information that I'd like to know about him.

The whole side-plot with Finn and Rose was alright. Rose ended up being a nice side character, and I liked how we learned more about her and her sister's (the same pilot that sacrificed herself to blow up that First Order ship at the beginning of the movie) backstory and how they were cruelly raised in that casino plot. I also liked that oxymoron Rose used when she called the casino town "lousy beautiful." She also ends up developing a romance with Finn, with her crashing herself into Finn's ship later on when he tried to sacrifice himself to destroy the laser and then kissing him right before she dies... wait, she actually survived by the end? Seemed like she did judging when Finn put that blanket on her in a non-isolated bunker, but the kiss made it seemed like she died. Ah well, if she survives, I think it'd be nice to see her again in Episode IX.

But I gotta say, that Hackerman was quite the character. First seeming like some guy who was willing to help Finn and Rey shut down the tracking device (and apparently not the real one they were looking for), but then later on to be a backstabber when he leaks the information on the Resistance escape ships. I wonder what motivated him to backstab Finn and Rey like that. Was it out of fear the First Order would kill, or did he think the First Order would give him some kind of benefit if he joined them? I only wonder if he really did die in that explosion, or he will come back in Episode IX as a new major villain, like the head-tech guy for the First Order.

And looks yet again, Phasma was wasted potential. Has some scenes where she appears to be threatening, even engaging in a big duel with Finn, but then she falls into the fiery pit during the explosion and dies. Welp, if she really is dead, shame that she didn't do much. I'm personally hoping she'll make it out alive, and maybe by Episode IX, we will finally see her full face? We only saw her eye right before she fell into the pit.

Backtracking for a bit, I was surprised to see they went back to using puppets to depict Yoda in that one scene rather than going for CGI like the prequel trilogy did. Kinda felt awkward seeing Puppet Yoda again, but I guess it's because I became more accustomed to CG Yoda in recent times. Anyway, I liked how Yoda came in during that one scene to burn up that tree with the last Jedi books just to tell Luke he needs to learn more failures, stop sulking about them, and understand a new Jedi order will begin with Rey. Those words would pay off for Luke later into the film. Also, there was supposedly a scene towards the end of the movie where we saw Rey with the Jedi books, implying that she took them with her before leaving the island? That's what I read from the Wikipedia summary after finishing the movie, so I'm kind of surprised she managed to take them with her.

Perhaps it's just me, but I initially thought Admiral Holdo was going to be revealed to be a First Order spy or something judging by how her decisions seemingly kept putting the remaining Resistance ships in a doomed position. Even that moment when Poe called her a "traitor" and tried to turn on her even seemed like it was heading in that direction, but then we see she really was with the Resistance all along when she rammed into the First Order ship at light speed to sacrifice herself (loved the delivery of that scene too, especially when everything went silent as she rammed into the ship).

Kylo becoming the new Supreme Leader was pretty cool too, and I can just imagine his new position is setting up for one heck-of-a-climatic battle between him and Rey at the end of Episode IX. The fight he has with Luke was pretty cool too. When Luke survived that first onslaught of explosions and then the slash followed by the stab from Kylo's light saber, I was thinking he achieved immortality as some of kind of "the ultimate power of the Force." Turns out it was only his projection. I kind of wished the fight between Luke and Kylo was longer, but it was still really cool to watch nonetheless. I especially like how the battle was the culmination of Luke's development in the film, as he finally comes to accept and move on from dwelling on his past mistakes, confront the new challenge ahead, and aid in the survival of the Resistance in its dire moment.

Overall, it was definitely a good movie. Glad to have watched it!
