Dear Smashers,
If you're reading this diary, you may have heard of the slight uproar, that happened because there was no new Smash thing. Yes that's correct, there was no mention of Smash game, other than during the Metroid: Samus Returns game presentation. There was just a slight mention, but after that, there are NO more mentions about a new Super Smash Bros.
I know many of you guys were hyped up for the Smash announcement, but after seeing the uproar, I wanted to address something directly to all users. I know many of you will be mad at me for that, so blame me if you're mad. I may also be banned, but I only want to give you a hint. Please. Promise me.
Still reading? Good. As many of you guys know, Smash 4 was released 3 years ago, but it was announced 3 years after Brawl's release. I'm mentioning the time because I want to give you a suggestion. The suggestion? When a new Nintendo direct (like today) comes, you can watch it after it get released, but please keep one thing in mind. Watch the Nintendo Direct, but please, DO not actually attempt to hope for a new Smash game right after you start watching it. In fact, you're giving some pressure to Nintendo, and if you try to hope, there's a bit less chance of the new game Smash being announced.
As many of you know, patience is virtue, and with patience, you can actually get to see the newly announced Smash game. Trying to promote yourself by hyping and asking right away a new Smash game, and/or trying to post a fake announced Smash game, will drastically reduce the chances of Smash being announced. Plus, Nintendo Switch has just been released, so give that console some time, will you please? Give it at least half a year (6 months) or a year, and a new Smash game will be announced for sure. There was a huge time gap between Melee and Brawl: in 2001, Melee was released. It took almost 7 years for Brawl to be released.
So... I think you may be mad after reading it, but please, try to cool off. Patience will surely lead your road to a new Smash game. I haven't been hyped so much about the new Smash game, but I have really been hyped up in Mario Odyssey, Kirby Battle Royale, and the SuperStar Saga remake.
TL;DR: Don't try hoping right away a new Smash Game, right after you watch a Nintendo Direct. Patience is the key to find a road to see the new Smash game, whenever it's a port or not.
